Safety and Maintenance Issues

If I could give zero stars I would. When moving, Zelda was decently priced and quite spacious, my only reservation was the previous bad reviews. Right when we moved, the complex came under new management who promised all the previous issues were going to be that - previous. So we signed the lease. It didn’t take long before I began to regret that. When you moved in, you had to fill out paperwork with things that needed repairs, we filled that out and only had a couple of things needing repairs.... Otherwise, everything looked really nice and clean. 2 weeks went by and we had not heard a thing about getting everything fixed. So I put in work orders. Someone came by, looked at everything, and said everything should be taken care of by the following day. Except, no one showed up the following day. So we had another maintenance issue over the weekend so I had to put in another work order and I logged in to check the status in the middle of the week and every. Single. Order. Was listed as complete and fixed and no one had ever come by. So I called the front office and explained the situation. They sent someone out who looked at all our issues and worked on what he could. I was assured he would be back the following day to finish up. The next day, no one ever shows up or calls to update us. I wait almost a week before calling the front office again to get someone out there to finish up the work that was suppose to be done right when we moved in. Then we have had numerous issues with our dishwasher that I have put in multiple work orders for. I recently found out that the main person who came to our apartment in the beginning was just telling his supervisor there was nothing wrong with it and we were being overdramatize. It ended up having another issue and low and behold, the entire dishwasher is ended up having to be replaced now. I can forgive maintenance issues because I know it’s a large complex and there is a lot going on. But the main issue is when maintenance came out to do some general updates (light fixtures, etc), THEY LEFT THE KEYS IN OUR DOOR. For over 12 hours, a set of keys stay in our door that anyone could have taken. No one ever came looking for them or called asking if they were left in our apartment. When I took the keys to the front office to get an explanation and to express my concerns about how I felt very unsafe living here now, I was in short told all she was willing to do was change the locks and she said sorry this happened.

Property Manager at Zelda Pointe responded to this review

Ann, we're deeply disheartened to know your experience has not met our high-standard of resident satisfaction. During the management change, our team was addressing a large volume of existing service tickets, and there was a miscommunication... regarding your requests. Please accept our apologies for not providing you with the swift attention we value. Our maintenance supervisor was happy to address your concerns and complete your requests. If there are any outstanding issues with your apartment, please contact us immediately so we may quickly resolve them.

We are in the process of updating our lighting to utilize LED bulbs and have hired a crew for the installation. While our assistant manager was present for your conversation, our manager wanted to assure you she was the one speaking with you and recognizes the serious nature of your concerns. Our management has spoken with the crew regarding the keys left in your lock and explained why this is unacceptable. We hope having the crew and maintenance team come by your apartment to apologize has assured you we respect the integrity of your home. The well-being of every resident is of the utmost importance to us. We invite you to reach out if there is anything else we can do to ensure you're enjoying life at our community.

Zelda pointe

It’s a good and quiet area but rent is to high, Some of the apartments in the back look way better then the ones in the front and on the left side of the rent office.
