Not worth the price tag

I recently toured this place. The construction is not good. They were having construction work done (very noisy) but it was obvious that it was mostly cosmetics. Poor cosmetics.
The parking lot is loaded with pot holes. It is nextdoor to a parking facility, also under renovations. More noise.
Some people living there have front patios. Instead of patio furniture and maybe barbecues, you'll see that they use the space as garages loaded with junk.
The only good thing visible was their pool. I...
doubt that makes up for the rest of the place.

Lipstick on a Pig

The construction is shoddy at best, the outdoor floors lumpy and tilted, as well as the flooring in my own apartment. This belies a few potentially dangerous problems: the foundation is subsiding unevenly, the framing wasn't done properly in the first place, or there is some kind of rot going on. The elevator permit posted expired in 2017. The baseboards are not sealed to the floor, making it VERY easy for bugs to travel between apartments or just outright come in from the outside during... heatwaves. Not only that, but the cabinets aren't sealed to the walls either, making a very convenient place for bugs to hide. I moved in in the summer, and the day i moved in there were already ants everywhere, having come inside due to the heat. No matter how clean I kept the house, there were ALWAYS bug problems. The walls are thin, to the point where I can hear my neighbor snore every single night, and even more unpleasantly, I can hear them spit loogies into the sink from anywhere in my apartment.
On the topic of trash, this apartment complex is a mess. There is trash strewn everywhere, spilled drinks and other sticky messes all over the ground, and cigarette stubs everywhere.
The paint in the apartments is so thin and poor quality that when I tried to wash off a smudge with a sponge, it took the paint off too. It's peeling in a crazy amount of places. The ventilation in the bathroom is also so bad that there is water damage that bubbles the paint. The wiring in one of the bedroom ceiling lights is faulty, and the light will occasionally flicker or turn off entirely on it's own. I suspect that some of the units have control remotes that run on the same frequency, because the kitchen fan and fan light will turn on by itself all the time, wasting electricity.
The plumbing is a disaster as well. The shower goes hot and cold like crazy, no matter how short your showers are. My fiancee and I have gotten almost burned by how hot it gets randomly, and we don't even take hot showers. It's very painful. The toilet flushes on it's own constantly. I put in a work order for it to be fixed, but even after they sent someone to fix it, it still flushes on it's own, needlessly upping my water bill.
Overall, the apartment itself is uncomfortable and disappointing, not to mention potentially unsafe. Prospective tenants be warned.
