Serious parking issues
If you are planning to rent in this community, please be aware of the ongoing parking issues:
This property holds about 100 units. About 50 of them have garages and the rest have carports. Along with that, there are about 40 open parking spaces and 7 reserved parking spots (for management staff).
This is roughly about the 60-year-old property. The garages are too small to fit in any sedan like Camry / Accord / Acura / Lexus / Tesla sedans, definitely not designed for every day IN and OUT... exercise, without scratching sides. You can not get in any SUVs / Vans for sure. Further, Garages have weird shapes, narrow down when going inside, so that’s another issue. The garages are also of different widths.
Most of the residents have 2 or more cars, with some of them 3+ as well.
Further, due to the recent pandemic, most of the garages are being used as a home office / extra room by residents, as they can’t use them as car parking spots.
This creates a very complicated parking issue across this community. If you arrive after, let’s say 8 pm, all of the parking will be taken and you may end up parking on street (if available) - if not in your garage or parking spots.
Now, parking on a street has another risk - as City wants the street parking empty every other Thursday (otherwise you get a 300$ ticket), along with the safety of your car on street (broken glasses due to recent increase in thefts).
And as a bonus, Management has about 7 parking spots reserved for their use (which you have to empty before 8/9 am or you are cited, even during weekends). There are 2 managers, 3 maintenance people, and 7-reserved (marked) parking spots.
Management is not interested in solving the parking issue seriously, they have no idea which garage is assigned to who / which carport is assigned to which unit. They just assign it randomly.
In short, parking is an ongoing issue in this community.
