Think before deciding
1. Noise and leaking problems are common.
You must keep calling the patrol, sometimes the operator will try to avoid helping you, need to be harsh!
Unless they get the contractor, the leaking will not be solved. Their mechanic men are helpless. But the office will try to avoid getting the contractor in order to save money, need to be harsh!
2. Lost $500 or more when move out.
They will charge you for carpet and paint replacement even without damage. They have a nine year circle for carpet... replacement. However, they will always use tenants' deposit for replacement fee unless your carpet was just used for less than 3 years.
Anyway, don't fully trust their billing statement, they will fix it to take at least $500 of your deposit.
Also, don't really clean your room before move out. I saw many people clean their room while they all be charged a lot for cleaning.
3. Rent increases 10% per year. Policy not friendly for long-time liver. However, lots of bay area apartments have management problems and are all money-thirsty, this one may be just one of them.
