Mold in apartment

I've been experiencing molding issues for the past two weeks in my apartment. The manager is never available, and they are not being helpful regarding the issue. It's an awful place to live.

My home

I’ve lived here for just under 3 years. I met my husband here! These apartments are worth a look, they’re lower in cost than other, newer options in the area. It’s fairly quiet, very safe, and we’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by good neighbors the whole time (despite a high turnover rate). The walls are much better insulated than other apartments I’ve lived in and, while I could hear my neighbors in their homes it was never enough to bother us.

My only real complaint is a bit of an...
outdated kitchen and finishes.

Look's good on the outside.

No "gourmet kitchens"
Unfriendly management picks their "favorites"
Very stressful living conditions when you're a handicapped person like my wife and I.
Unfriendyist neighbors I've ever lived next to.

Was good until the END ...

I Lived at Valley View for a year and a few months. All was good until i gave my notice. I had to go to month to month which was another 400.00 a month. I also had a problem with the costs it took to leave the facility. I made sure the apartment was clean and scrubbed from top to bottom. I also took the extra step to have a walk through before I left. the head of Maintenance came through the apartment with me and said to clean a bit more under the Microwave and Stove top. He looks at the... walls and the rest of the place and actually commented that it look like you have not been here long. That said, I get my final bill from the leasing office. I received a little over 4.00 for the return of my deposit. I tried to get in touch with Fara, to no avail. I sent multiple emails and left phone messages. She actually did return on of my emails and said she would call the following day and what would be a good time to be reached. i let her know that 12 would be great. i took time out of my day to wait for her call and you guessed it nothing. i wonder if they would pay the invoice for all the time wasted if billed. They nickel'd and dime'd me on the deposit. Items like cleaning supplies (409)=15.00, Walls had marks and had to be repainted, 3 hours of cleaning, carpet cleaning (which I did agree to but due to "traffic" stains extra 30.00- so be careful of waking around). The best was the replacement of light bulbs. Oh and be careful of those very high end blinds, if you open them to fast and they get caught, they snap. Got charged for that too. Anyway, Its really too bad the experience was ruined by the way I was treated at the end of my stay. Its too bad ...

Something strange is happening in the town of El Dorado Hills

It appears as though Stepford is a real place, and it's impeccably well kept. This apartment is in a great location - within walking distance to the town center that has all sorts of restaurants, events, a fantastic weekly farmers market, a movie theater, etc. There doesn't seem to be a blade of grass out of place in this town - people really seem to take pride in living in this area.

The apartments are safe, quiet, and the neighbors are friendly. The vaulted ceilings are great, and the...
closets are big. We have neighbors next door - but I've never once heard them through the walls. I love finally having a washer/dryer in my unit - and that grills are allowed on the balcony. It is a larger complex, but the pool and gym never seem too busy (which I love)! Also, maintenance is done in an efficient manner - but keep in mind - this is a large complex. Parking spaces are ample.

Drawbacks are minor and based on personal preference. The design focuses largely on garages and less on green spaces, which causes kids to play in the road, and for the complex to be pretty echoey at night. My only gripe is the design of the bathroom in the 2 bedroom. One of the doors swings right into the person at the sink - which can get real annoying.
