pathetic place to live. Don't come.

I recently moved into a 2-bedroom apartment at Lantern Cove House Community, and my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. The online description claimed that each unit comes equipped with an in-unit washer and dryer, which was a significant factor in my decision to rent here. However, upon moving in, I was greeted by a small, but also seem to be relics from a bygone era and hardly fitting the needs of even a single person, let alone a household. It's frustrating to have to deal with... such outdated amenities

Adding to the frustration is the inconsistency in responses from the staff. Every time I reached out for assistance or clarification regarding the discrepancy between the online description and the actual amenities, I received different and contradictory answers from each staff member. It's clear that there is a lack of communication and organization within the management, leading to a confusing and frustrating experience for residents.

I strongly advise anyone considering renting at Lantern Cove House Community to think twice before making a commitment. Do not rely solely on the online information provided; instead, insist on seeing the actual unit you plan to rent. The outdated and ineffective washer and dryer, combined with the unreliable responses from the staff, make this place far from the desirable living environment it appears to be online. Save yourself the disappointment and inconvenience by exploring other housing options before settling on this one.

Great Views Poor Maintainance

Like any property, this one has its pros and cons.

Pro:
1) Great views (if you have an apartment with a view)
2) Close to the Bay trail
3) Pet friendly
4) Close to grocery stores, Costco, gas stations, and multiple parks in the area that are really nice

Cons:
1) The fountains on the property don't always work (so don't count on that view)
2) This is an open property so packages are constantly stolen. Cars are broken into and/or car parts stolen. Homeless people squat in the pool/gym area....

3) Bathrooms near the pool are not accessible during the weekend.
4) The pond attracts ducks and geese so there is bird poop all over the walking path
5) Dog poop is also left unpicked and the dog bag stations are empty most of the time
6) During heavy rains over 100 units (that's most of the property) were dealing with water damage including apartments that were completely flooded. It took 3-4 months to patch things up
7) Rodents are a constant roommate - They have Rorkin come in and set traps, but don't always fix the underlying issues that allow the pests to enter your home
8) Maintenance typically takes 2-4 weeks to respond to simple work orders (clogged drain, change a light bulb). The bigger the job the longer it can take
