This is the worst place to live unless....

If you are saving to buy a home AND you value a shorter commute to the peninsula, this may be the place for you for the time being.  These are the only 2 reasons I stayed for several years.

Pros -
1. Location to Dumbarton, this is a great place if you work in the peninsula
2. Rent is cheap for the area
3. Laundry on-site is relatively clean and accessible
4. Maintenance is responsive to requests
5. Ample street parking (at your own risk)

Cons
1. Windows and walls are literally paper thin....

The apartment is POORLY insulated so in the cold or hot months, you'll feel the extreme of both.  The hot air gets trapped inside the apartment in the summer and the cold air gets trapped inside during the winter. When it gets windy, even with your windows closed, you will see your blinds fly all over the place because the windows are that cheap and thin.  You will hear Every Single Car that drives by the neighborhood.  You'll quickly learn the landscape & garbage schedule because of the noise reason. If you like fireworks, you'll have front row seats at your window because fireworks will be set off for 2 weeks before and after July 4th right in front of your bedroom window at night

2. Noisy, inconsiderate neighbors.
Heavy stumping and lots noises from your upstairs neighbor's (and when you bang on the wall, they will complain to the leasing manager) TVs / Music turned so loud you can hear it clearly inside your home even when you have your own TV, music playing. Neighbors' teen kids + friends will hang out in front of your house / front door.   Things will be thrown into your patio (I've had balls, wrappers, napkins, a Sham-Wow thrown in) Random strangers will appear at your door or your next door neighbor's yelling random things. You will smell weed often and nearby (especially at night)

3. Your packages at the door will be STOLEN if it is 100 lbs or lighter.  I've had to file police reports to get my stolen items replaced.

4. Your car is not safe.  I've gotten my car window smashed.  My parked car gets hit by neighbors (they left notes if it's any consolation). During July 4th, the neighbors love setting off fireworks right on the street next to cars.

Worst apartment I have ever seen

1. Noisy. The apartment is close to the street and rail way. There are cars racing even at 1 am. And sometimes you will be waken up by the beeping trains. Surprise!

2. The mgmt is lazy and wont do anything. It is claimed as "smoke free", but there is someone smoking almost every night. The mgmt did not want to do anything even if you report to her.

Avoid this apartment whenever possible

Bridge Bay Apartments

On the edge of town, so away from the noise. Responsive management and an absurd amount of storage space. Cats allowed; it's pretty great.
