Honest review

They raise the rent yearly by 113 $ so be aware of that . That’s a huge spike annually. it is quiet here . At ashbury There aren’t people hanging around , or loud music . feels pretty Family oriented . (I think it’s because renters like myself chosen by the previous management). However if they keep continue to hike the rent they will lose tenants . Another plus is parking .there’s always a space and all the spots are pretty close to units.
.
Place is overpriced , The one bedroom is...
so small .600 something square feet and one bathroom. It’s a very tiny amount of Space for the price point. The studio and 2 bedrooms are also overpriced .

The so called “amenities” they offer including the gym and the tennis court have been locked up . And still are. So don’t think you can use them or try to.

The In unit washer and dryer is extremely tiny and shrinks clothes (used 1x) so use the laundry room. You load money on a card and use it . Laundry room stays locked and is nice .

A few weeks back , the property had some serious sewer issues . A neighbor had to use my restroom because they shut the water off to fix . They were letting people use the office bathroom too . Point is this place has sewage issues and I can smell it sometimes around the property and inside . Big minus .

I also noticed they have chopped a lot of bushes and plants down . The greenery and flowers used to look beautiful here . I’m assuming they did this to save on future landscaping bills? Not sure .

That’s an honest detailed review on Ashbury if your considering moving here.

Worst Apartment living experience I've ever had.

We were wildly disappointed with our experience, summed up by the issues with noisy and rude neighbors, inadequate management (look up reviews for DJA management) and their inability to solve the issue of horrible neighbors, and general mayhem around the complex. There is a reason there are so many empty units! This is the perfect place for large noisy families that don't want to watch their children and want to be able to smoke wherever they want. Visit the complex around 4-5 pm & you will see... unsupervised children as well as people smoking. I suggest a large supply of earplugs if you move here so you can actually get some sleep. Also, get ready to lose almost $500 for cleaning costs when you move out.
Our second set of immediate neighbors next to our apartment (moved in Oct 19) were so bad that we moved out (Dec 19) a month& a half ahead of our lease end (Jan 20). They had screaming matches, a dog barking, & possibly violence all hours that made us question if we should be calling 911. We didn't expect management to be able to solve this issue & did not notify since these neighbors seemed volatile. We could have notified them, but it was a better option to move away from this headache of a complex.
There are many various problems with the complex in general. Residents park in the fire lanes & paid parking spots. Unsupervised children run around the parking lot, which management is unable to control. There is trash and dog poop around the complex. This is a non-smoking complex but people smoke right outside your open windows. The swimming pool was often closed but when it was open it was occupied by unsupervised children.
It's so unfortunate that the quality of life while living here is so low, because the apartments are genuinely nice. The marble counters are nice and the appliances were all new. The flooring is a nice vinyl and the carpets are a nice color. Management often was late to office hours so I sometimes had to wait to talk to management and resolve issues. I once called the emergency line because someone was double parked over my car and the guy told me to call the office. I had during office hours and she wasn't there. Management completes work orders efficiently and fixes the problems in the apartment if you can get ahold of them. Despite the adequate work order completion and actually nice apartments, I still cannot give the apartment more than a single star. I've never had such a low quality of living or such inadequate management.

Great place for a great price

This place is safe and clean and is very nice for the price especially compared to other apartments. We have been here since February and we love it! Management is great and on top of things. There is a huge park not even 5 minutes away that leads right to the river where we spend much of our time. We live here with our two dogs and we could not be happier to have found somewhere so great especially after our last apartments.

Great place to call home

I moved here back in August and I am continually impressed by the management. The woman who works in the office is always kind, courteous and helpful. The complex is currently under renovations and I am excited to see the final results. If anything breaks they fix it right away.
They do not have assigned parking, but there is always available spaces for my guests.
Lastly, they are pet friendly.

Happy to call this place home

Moved in about 7 months and the location cannot be beat. The community is going through a bunch of improvements including the apartments which for me shows that management cares. The office is super helpful whenever I have an issue and the community is really quiet. One downside is you don't get an assigned parking spot but there's always one open so it's not too bad. All in all I'm really happy to live here.
