The weather proofing for each unit is horrible, there are many people who have stuffed things into windows to keep insects out of the old screens. We are constantly battling roaches coming in the spaces where the front door seal is dry rotted/missing. Windows may not open/close easily or lock. There are 2 maintenance guys who do their best to keep up with 238 units. They are great guys & great workers but incredibly overworked so if your maintenance is not an "emergency", you are at the bottom... of the list. They need more maintenance & grounds keepers. Many issues require calling an outside vendor, good luck getting those resolved if they are non-emergency. When we moved in, we had to put in a work order for many things in this 1998 building to be repaired. The counter tops are peal and stick or something weird. The washer, dryer, and water heater are probably from 1998. I suppose the LUXURY refers to the stainless facing of the stove, fridge and barely operable dishwasher. The maintenance guys are also expected to clean the grounds and the pool daily; they do not have time to do this. There's dog poop and trash everywhere but at least the poop bins always have bags in them. If you have a second car you will be parking on the street on occasion, there's only one assigned spot per unit no matter how many bedrooms. Many people have third and fourth cars they put in the guest parking. It's up to you to ask the neighbors to be parking lot conscious. Luckily you can't hear your neighbors next door, but if you have neighbors above you, you will be able to hear them walking, playing music, etc. (standard apartment issue). Some of the front office staff is rude, unresponsive and dismissive of issues (that is if you get someone to answer the phone). The employee turnover rate is horrible. The size of the unit is decent. There are possible slip and fall issues with the parking lot water/mud/algae run off from over watering the grass and plants. The area is generally safe(?) since it's a bit removed from the neighborhood. Ralphs, Rite Aid and other shopping places and eateries are right down the hill about 5 minutes away. Having quick and easy access to those is pretty nice. It's easy to avoid traffic in the immediate vicinity once you learn the back roads and hopping on the freeway is a breeze. I believe the luxury in the title (and where your rent is truly spent) is in the gorgeous front office/community/exercise room.

I recently moved to the Hilss at Quail Run, i really like it here, the apartments are spacious with plenty of storage. I had a couple of things i wanted fix on the apartment, Gina was very helpful and had maintenance work on it the following day. I still have a few things that need touch ups but i have notified maintenance. So far I like living here, t is very quiet and peaceful.

I moved in to these lovely apartments about 4 months ago and it was an excellent choice. I ride my bike to and from work (UCR) and it is such a convenient location for me to do so. I have new carpet in my unit and it is so cozy and the A/C works great! When I do come across a minor issue, I put in a maintenance ticket and that same day or 2, it is fixed! In addition, the Towne Center is a very short drive or nice walk, and you have many great places to eat, drink and shop! I discovered on... Tuesdays during summer, there is a live band that plays at the Center. I appreciate that this place is dog friendly and there are many places to walk around and enjoy the quiet sunset. Lastly, the staff is great and has really made my renting experience worry free, thank you!
