Unfortunate management
I have never experienced such a completely disorganized and invasive management team. While the list of complaints is endless, the most frustrating incident happened when construction was being done to the landing on our second-floor apartment. We got a phone call ten days before construction was to begin asking us if we could be out of our apartment for several days while construction was being done. Mind you, this is in the middle of the pandemic and we were not offered lodging or compensation... at this time. After getting heated with management and escalating to First Point, we were finally offered several days at a hotel. However, construction lasted longer than planned so we ended up experiencing about 2 weeks of disruptions. I get that projects are unpredictable but having to advocate for basic things like rent compensation and hotels if we physically can't get to the apartment seems baffling. Other than this, they primarily communicate by taping notices on our doors and the office team does not talk with one another so you get contacted with the same question by multiple office members. The staff is not malicious at all, they are pleasant enough to interact with, but the lack of logic, planning, and organization in all actions and communications is incredibly frustrating as a tenant.

Property Manager at The Brighton Apartments responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to advise of your stay at Brighton Apartments. You are right, this was a one-off situation that did not go as smoothly as we had anticipated. Pairing poor communication from the construction company and a new property... manager, we have learned immensely from this situation. It is only through feedback such as yours that we are able to maintain and certainly, where necessary, improve the service that we provide to our valued tenants. Whilst an apology will regrettably not alter the outcome of your experience, we do extend it with all sincerity. We truly empathize for the days that you had limited access to your home.
