Bottom line you’re a check not a person.
Per our contract there was no indication the notice to vacate form would have to be provided by Addison at Cherry Creek Apartments. There wasn’t proper specifications on what our notice entailed. We reached out to the leasing office on numerous occasions during businesses hours in regard to what was needed in preparation to vacate and were told by staff nothing else would be necessary if we were not renewing our lease which they were made aware of before the 60 days. We even received several... emails that confirm our move out date. If we did not agree to resign, therefore we do not agree to the terms of remaining a resident following our lease expiration. We were certain there was proper documentation of our choice to vacate as we were led to believe by the leasing staff’s statements and exchanges both over the phone and in person. We were not provided the 60 day notice to vacate form until after the 60 day period had passed. There was no mention of this particular form needing to be provided by Addison at cherry creek apartments prior to the date required to sign the notice. There was no indication our signatures would be a requirement for a notice to vacate prior to receiving the form (after the 60 day period). We did reach out after receiving the notice to confirm everything was in order and there would be no further issues. We got no response through email so we called the leasing office to confirm we would not have to pay additional fees, we were reassured we would only have to pay a portion of our last month not once but twice. We received a bill in the mail with additional charges because ‘they were not informed prior to the 60 days’. I talked with the Dani the apartment manager and I was hoping she’d understand this predicament and that we thought we did everything we could to inform them and that we had never even seen/received the 60 day notice form until after the 60 days. She didn’t even acknowledge they were supposed to mention the form itself or provide it in order for us to actually sign before the requested date, she didn’t care at all, said it’s on us if we didn’t know and just blatantly disregard our efforts to have everything done ahead of time. Needless to say it doesn’t matter how much you think you communicated with leasing office they just don’t care, they’ll tell you never talked with anyone, and take your money. I have call logs and screenshots, all of this is true.
