New Management is Horrible

I am currently living at the Lydian and I will absolutely be moving out as soon as I can. The internet went out for 5 days without so much as a word from the management. Water pressure is constantly reduced to nothing. Cars were broken into in the garage and when another resident wrote a note to warn people the management took it down and said nothing. They will kick you out or fine you $250 if you bring more than 1 guest to the community spaces. The garage door doesn’t work half the time. I’ve... had to park on the street more than 5 times in the last month because the garage won’t let me in. Please trust me and don’t move here.

Do Not Live Here

Do not live here- everyone in this building is trying to move out as soon as they can. Management is rude, unhelpful, and uncommunicative, the rent is far too high for what you’re getting, and the building is constantly breaking.

The front desk staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful, constantly reminding residents seeking help that they “have cameras” and “will charge you” if they find any wrongdoing. They seem to enjoy making sure that no one can use the building and despise actually having...
to help residents. When the building lost internet for 5 days, they did not see fit to notify residents that they were aware of the situation for 4 of those 5 days.

Speaking of utilities - although a portion of my huge monthly utility bill goes to the utilities of the community spaces, I must pay an additional $250 to have more than one guest in those spaces. That means that I cannot have two friends over to use the hot tub, play pool, go to the gym, or do any of the things that normal buildings allow. If you choose to pay the $250, be warned that it only covers 4 hours, at which point a security guard will likely be called to break up your “party”.

Finally, the parking garage entrances are constantly breaking, leaving people and their cars trapped between the door of the garage and the arm of the meter. Although this happens at least once a week, asking the front desk staff for help leads nowhere but accusations of “using the garage key wrong”. And, to top it all off, the arm of the garage is often missing as a result of this breakage. In fact, a few days ago, many of the cars in the underground parking lot were broken into. Management did not inform residents of these break-ins, although many of our cars were affected- we found out through a note pinned up by a resident in the elevator, which was promptly taken down.

These are just a few of the many issues I’ve had at the Lydian- please, take my advice and do not live here. There are so many other buildings in Denver with better management and staff.

BEYOND HAPPY WITH THE LYDIAN!

Where to start! The ladies of the leasing office, whom oversee the building & residents, are amazing. So prompt, professional, and friendly. Thank you Ashlyn & Sam, for always checking in and making sure I was settled in nicely. Always so helpful with my millions of curious questions lol. I am BEYOND happy to call this place my home. The location is the best! So many food and fun options. Culture and history. Friendly neighbors and great vibes, all around. No complaints or cons for me.

Falling into disrepair!

While the Lydian started out as a high-end luxury apartment after only a year has started to fall into disrepair. As noted in other recent reviews as well!

One elevator has been out of service since 10/01/19 (No ETA on repair as of 12/09/19). With sporadic outages of the second one.

Trash chutes clogged/broken since 10/30/19 (No ETA on repair as of 12/09/19) Rooms containing trash chutes often filled with trash. Pictures attached from 10/23/19 and 10/28/19 (Notice both are almost identical,...
the chutes were not clogged).

Hallway walls are scuffed up and carpets are becoming stained with what I believe is trash leaking while be carried to the elevator.

E-mail received from management at 5:28PM the day of event “The Lydian Club room is reserved on Monday, November 11, 2019 between 5:30PM – 10:00PM” This Happened again on 12/07 when a group of roughly ten was asked to leave at 4:45PM for a 5PM event. Again with zero notification. Note the picture of the Club room door broken for at least three weeks.

Wrench required to turn on the gas for patio grills as knobs are broken (This may be resolved).

The gym is small and often crowed with access to both residence and Craft members. Positive is high-end equipment.

Utility costs are higher than my house that was twice the square footage with a 40-year-old furnace and almost zero insulation. Windows and patio doors offer little insulation as you can feel the cold just getting close to them. Obviously, these DO NOT keep sound out either!

While this complex does offer some amazing views and nice amenities it falls short in other areas.

Waiting to get nickel and dimed upon move out due to poor quality of materials used along with my experience with management.

For a "Luxury" apartment with pricing to match one would expect issues to be handled in a timely manner!
