DO NOT RENT HERE
Do NOT rent here.
While the office and maintenance staff are pleasant, corporate policies and dealing with problems are most definitely NOT pleasant.
Today’s issue is the noise being produced after work hours. I was warned that there would be noise this week while the carpet in the apartment above me was replaced, at NO point was I informed it would be after the normal work hours of 8am - 5pm.
Work commenced at roughly 4 pm today. Knowing it would take more than an hour to do the work, I... called to express my concern and was told they would carry on with the construction till 8:30 pm - the same cut off time residents have for parties and normal excess noise.
When I brought to their attention that there is a huge difference between normal activities that are expected and construction work, they referred back to the residents’ guide for noise.
Their excuse is they were unable to schedule a third party contractor to work during normal business hours.
Let me be clear, this isn’t a little occasional noise, this is full on, nonstop, hammering, scraping, and demolition noises right above my head.
It’s odd that a multi-million dollar company can only contract with labor that works after business hours, knowing residents will be inconvenienced and their evening disrupted.
This is just one in a long stream of issues I have had since moving in the end of January. I can’t wait for my lease to end and to move.
There have been many other issues and I have tried to be patient and understanding, but this is a step too far.
