Good Place to Live Merritt at Sugarloaf is a good place to live especially if you are a business professional or a family of four or fewer.
The front office staff is very good about being punctual
and timely with their support and efforts to accommodate residents. They are very professional and often provide service with a smile. The maintenance staff is outstanding! Very responsive and timely. The employees make this establishment worth living here.
The property is very pet-friendly... . There is a small “dog park.” The swimming pools are good for the kids during the summer months. The pond is pretty when the fountain is working. Fishing is good at the pond, too. The tennis courts are very nice for those who like to play tennis or use the tennis courts for playing fetch with their dog.
Opportunities for improvement? Parking is limited in certain sections. There are not enough spaces to put it bluntly. Fortunately, all buildings come with both attached and detached garages, but these are in high demand and limited.
Another aspect that comes to mind for improvement is the entry/exit gates. Often, one or the other or both are wide open and will not close. This raises a security concern.
Speaking of security, the property once had cameras. I do not know if security cameras are still present. If not, they need to be.
Another positive are the new mailbox centers. They are brand new, modern, and difficult for thieves to break into.
Oh, I am on a roll now.
Another opportunity for improvement is the package repository. It is no longer in service and the front office will not hold packages (anymore). Even when the package repository was in service, many couriers did not use it. That fact puts one's package(s) at risk of being stolen off your welcome mat.
But, crime is very low here. Theft is rare. Break-ins are rare. Plus, there is a police sub-station literally bordering the property. That helps with keeping the crime low.
As mentioned earlier, a family of four (4) or fewer is suitable for this location. More than four family members and it get to be crowded.
Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives by a lot. I recommend living at Merritt at Sugarloaf.
