not good

I lived at The Mark for a year and a half.

When the property first opened it was great. Unfortunately, after West Shore LLC, bought the property, things got bad real quick. Below are the top 10. But I could have written 20.

1. The property is poorly managed, they never follow up.
2. It is not a gated property, the "gates" are constantly out of order and wide open, anyone could easily walk into the property.
3.The fountain never works, the pond is full of algae and has a bad smell.
4. There...
is poop and trash everywhere.
5. Valet trash doesn't work, there are piles of smelly trash outside the apartments, that leak and smell.
6. There is no pest control.
7. The pool area is filthy and every weekend feels like Spring Break gone wild. No respect for noise levels.
8. Trash compactor is surrounded by furniture and trash, broken glass, ants, cardboard boxes, you name it.
9. The gym is filthy and machines are broken and unrepaired.
10. They barely power wash the properties, I had to power wash my building twice.

Do yourself a favor and do not move here.

Not worth the price anymore

Price you pay is not worth what they “offer”. I’ve lived here for almost 2 years now and quality has depreciated significantly, while the rent has gone up $300. I can go to a complex down the road for better service and cheaper. Amenities (especially the front gate) stay broken. You can tell this complex gives their residents the run-around, whether it’s maintenance issues, price issues or anything else you might call them out on.

Roaches, worms coming from drains, spiders, not gated community

I’ve lived here since for a few months now, and I will just tell you now there is a huge bug problem in the units 1100, I am a stay at home wife and I keep my apartment very clean so I could only imagine our neighbors who don’t keep up with cleanliness as I do. It’s very embarrassing when we have guests staying over, and there’s being multiple cockroaches we have to kill, spiders, and this morning we woke up to a centipede crawling out of our shower drain! Which I clean regularly. I also believe... we actually pay for bug management every month which is included in the rent, which is not working at all! There’s cracks and openings throughout the apartment that lead to inside the walls ultimately the outside and I am assuming that is how everything comes in, aka poorly built apartments. I have pictures as-well but unfortunately this website doesn’t let me attach any. From the other reviewers, this is also not a gated community, anyone can walk in and on the weekends the guest parking is always full because people who don’t even live here are going to the pool. We are moving out and cancelling our lease once we find a house, but I would not recommend this place, there is many more problems but definitely the bug problem is the worst.

Beyond Disappointed

If I could give this place NEGATIVE stars I would. Where to start you ask? This apartment looks beautiful in pictures but this complex is Titanic and there isn’t enough lifeboats for us all. Do not live here! Beautiful in pictures and a nightmare in real life, Louis Vuitton prices for Dollar Tree quality. Holes in roofs that never were fixed, Doors that don’t shut right because they put them on wrong, stairs that aren’t level, air conditioners that go out and you are left in 90+ degree heat but... don’t worry!! they have portable air conditioners that they will tell you about at other properties but won’t go get. not to mention leaking light fixtures in the bathrooms cause the roofs aren’t done right and large water damage spots on the ceilings that they don’t have time to fix. also if you have kids or pets make sure you don’t put anything in your lower cabinets cause the cabinet doors will fall off and they’ll be able to get into your cleaning chemicals and front doors that if you even look at wrong will fly open and pets can escape. What about the amenities you ask? There is no pet washing station so that’s a lie, the car wash is always flooded and drain clogged, a pool that’s green and nasty, a secure package room that is so secure you won’t even be able to get in with your password that they send you! Valet trash, that you pay for every month, that won’t get picked up and YOU get charged an extra $75 for each bag left out in the morning even though you’ve told management about it for 2 months and that their dumpster isn’t big enough for everyone so trash gets stacked outside of it for days in the heat and smells. Secure facility? The gate is broken and anyone can drive in and walk around. Dog park? Full of huge holes and rocks with grass that is almost nonexistent. The pool is open to anyone, literally anyone. Want to just show up and swim? Sure come on in random guy who doesn’t live here or know anyone who does. Manager who’s name starts with a T will lie and yell at you when you ask questions about your apartment getting fixed, literally will yell at you. She can’t be professional or honest even if her job depended on it, which it should. Also has no common sense.
The last time this place was nice was when it was a design on a computer. Use cheap products to build it and watch it fall apart in front of you.

Huge disappointment

PROS:
Was really happy with how nice the interiors of the apartment looked.

The construction of the apartments are very sturdy and the walls are not thin at all (at least we havent been able to hear our neighbors very much since we've moved in)

Free coffee anytime

CONS:
No CDC or COVID regulations whatsoever. Maintenance crew, front office staff, and construction workers do not wear masks (I would have to assume nothing is sanitized as well). We had asked to get our dishwasher fixed the...
first week and workers had come in with no masks whatsoever, it was pretty bizarre. This also becomes a problem when we want to get a package from the package room, or need to speak to somebody in the front office but theres many people with no masks on in a small space.

There's an outdoor gun range closeby so you hear it all day throughout the week, regardless of where you are in the complex. The windows are pretty thin as well. I wish this was brought to our attention before we moved in.

On top of this, there is nonstop construction despite this complex being open to residents for a few years now (even repaving and redoing sidewalks even though they're practically new??) and some of the garages are permanently unavailable due to them being filled with construction supplies. Overall I would say this place has a lot of room for improvement as far as standard of living.
