the reality of living at Barrington lakes
Parking lots are so overcrowded and there are not enough parking spots for tenants let alone guests. Pot holes took months to be fixed (that’s being generous) and were cheaply patched that fall apart within another few months. Guest passes (or guest registry for their new online system) is a nightmare and the towing company will tow at 10 on the dot.
Garage floods and the gate key to the garage was almost always open because it was broken so often. There is a mountain of trash like toilets,... tables, chairs, actual garbage, old AC units, etc just piled in a section in the garage.
I never used the pool, gym or game room so I can’t really have an opinion.
But…
In the resident buildings, the hallway carpet looks beyond dirty and has dog urine stains. Overall, the hallways have a very unpleasant odor that’s very musky and of urine.
Management has changed so much I don’t even know who it is now. As I was moving out the property manager was new, but right before then it was Judith. Judith was very pleasant to talk with and I never had a negative interaction. The receptionists as a lot of other reviews say, are clearly miserable and are not pleasant to talk to.
I don’t know what else to say other than overall, I recommend avoiding this place. I lived here 3 years and that was 3 years too many. For what you get, the word “overpriced” does not even come close.
