This place is not worth your money. Terrible management, disgusting laundry facility and rampant crime!
I have almost completed my 12 month lease at Campus Point and this place must be hands down the worst place to live in the ISU area. Management is terrible, the laundry is disgusting and always out of service and crime is rampant.
Within a month of moving in, we started receiving 1 or more text messages regarding renewing every week. Also, they do these "events" where they go buy some super cheap food for residents to eat. These "events" are advertised as benefits to the lease, but in reality... they are just forcing us to endure their unsolicited advertisement campaigns.
I gave CP my parents contact information for use in the event of an emergency, and CP used it to advertise their renewal offers and asked my parents to try to persuade me to resign with them. This is without a doubt one of the most repulsive practices this desperate company utilizes.
The management team are also complete liars and want nothing to do with their residents. They have all the student workers who have no idea whats going on be the ones that residents have to talk to when you visit the office. Sometimes, even after visiting the office several times and guaranteed I will get a response within a day or two, I will wait weeks with no answers to my issues or questions. This place is designed so that management doesn't have to deal with pesky residents who the management team wants nothing to do with.
Unfortunately for me and my roommates, days before Amanda, the former CP general manager, left the Campus Point team, Amanda decided for no apparent reason that our apartment was unreasonably messy and she left us a note threatening to hire an outside cleaning service to clean our apartment and make us pay for it. Jackie, the district manager, eventually dropped the senseless threat, but not until after horrendous deliberation.
The absolute worst part about his place has to be the laundry. The lease grants you access to a "free" laundry facility. This facility is disgusting and it is never cleaned. There is constantly empty wrappers everywhere, laundry detergent all over the washers and lint all over the floor. Almost half of the facility is out of service and Ashley lies and says it is going to be fixed soon, but in reality it won't be fixed until the new residents get here in August.
During holidays, tons of people try to break into empty apartments to steal stuff and CP refuses to install sufficient security. My roommates lost over $500 of property due to these break ins
