MOLD
I signed a lease and went into the apartment. Within 2 hours we found mold! My fiancé has asthma so mold is not good. We didn’t even stay the night we went to a hotel. I went to the front office the next morning. The person in charge was upset with the front office person because my fiancé hadn’t signed the lease yet. To the best of my understanding that means that the lease was not yet legally binding! We were able to get out of the lease without to much trouble! We will even be getting a... refund in the mail! So not the best choice but not the worst.

Colton,
Thank you for your review. While the small spot on the wall was brought to our staff’s attention, we did not have the opportunity to test this spot or address the issue before you returned the keys the following day. I apologize for this... oversight and for not addressing it prior to your arrival. However, this spot was not identified during the walkthrough we completed with you before move-in. Our team strives to exceed expectations, and our management company is dedicated to providing the best possible experience, so we regret falling short in this instance.
It’s important to note that the lease agreement you signed is legally binding. Additionally, your rental application did not disclose that another person would be living in the apartment, which is a necessary part of our leasing process to ensure lease compliance and safety.
While you chose not to explore other available apartments in our community, we hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future. Regarding the refund you mentioned, we have been trying to reach you about the required paperwork to finalize this process. Please contact us directly at 309-685-5217 so we can resolve this matter promptly.
Thank you again for your feedback.
