So Far So good
I've been living in Indianapolis and by extension Murphy's Landing for about 7 months now and here's my impression of everything so far.
I've found Murphy's Landing is not a bad place to live. It's within walking distance to everything you'd need and a short drive away from everything else. There's workout equipment that you can use but it's not really a full size gym. If you're a beginner it'll do but if you're a hard core exerciser keep your membership. The good thing is you can access it... 24/7/365 so that's nice. The area is very family friendly. There's a small outdoor play area for kids and an outdoor pool.
The area itself is relatively safe. Obviously there's no such thing as 100% security but it's not like bullets are flying past my window on a daily basis. It's a little far from the city I guess but that's only what I've been told. I'm from a rural area so my idea of the boonies is different than people who live in big city like Indy.
The staff is friendly and willing to work with you with whatever issue you have. The only thing is maintenance is slow. Unless it's something they think will harm the building it'll be a low priority. Just keep on them and eventually they'll fix it just to shut you up.
While you do get some amenities I think the rent is a little high for not giving much in return. If they lowered rent by about $100 I would give this place an A but instead I'd give this place about a B.
