Unprofessional
After 3 years of diligent care in my apartment. I was served with my bill upon move out falsely claiming that there was almost 1,000 dollars worth of damage done to the unit after my leaving. I was charged for repairs done to the unit that was there prior to moving in that we did submit to the company as evidence. One would think that this with date stamps is sufficient however, upon further discussion the company has decided to dig in its heels and refuse to have even a civil conversation over... the phone, refusing to share pictures of the so-called "damages" as proof of what I was being charged for. In my efforts to reach some level of understanding, I was met with incredibly rude and unprofessional behavior by its General Manager. Instead of having a civil conversation chose to talk over me and
interrupt me, I asked several times to not interrupt me and to have a civil conversation but that clearly did not happen. There is also blatant dishonesty throughout our interactions of claims of looking at my account and then referencing that I must "make payments" when every interaction I have had has been about getting the rest of the deposit back that I feel I am rightfully owed and that they have failed to provide evidence that would state otherwise. If this were true they would see that not only is the discussion in regards to me receiving my deposit back it has nothing to do with late payments of any kind. I was then verbally threatened to be sent to collections because once again there were claims of viewing my account which would have clearly shown that there was nothing to collect. If I had known that I as a tenant would be treated with such disrespect, and dishonesty, and would have to fight to see even a portion of my deposit which I will most likely never see I never would have rented with them to begin with.
TLDR: Renting at the Pebblebrook Apartments will award you; A lost deposit without evidence of expenditures, disrespectful and rude behaviors from the management within its organization when asking questions regarding this, and unreliable expectations to uphold their end of a contractual agreement. If I could rate this establishment with 0 stars I would.
