**Mixed Review/Lesson Learned**
I've enjoyed my time living at Park Laureate. This was my 2nd apartment. The location is fantastic.
The management team addresses maintenance requests and no complaints with maintenance they were good.
However, I was unsure if I wanted to renew my lease I had a lot of life things going on.
I emailed the leasing office my 60 day notice and it wasn’t acknowledged that it was received. I called the leasing office & asked how does it work if I want to renew my lease after a notice has been... put in. I was told to call back because the pricing may change and that they could possibly rent out units without someone viewing it.
About a month before my lease ended I contacted the leasing office several times via call, email/follow up email on different days with no response. I reached out to get updated leasing options. I finally got to talk to a lady over the phone in the office that said she would tell the leasing lady I was interested in renewing my lease.
I never heard back from the office things slipped my mind. I should’ve went to office earlier…this was all new to me. So I decided to go to the office first thing Monday morning because rent was due. My lease ended on the 7th of that month and everything went good as I signed my new lease.
I called the office the next day as the pricing online to pay rent wasn’t updated so I left a voicemail. I was told they ran into an issue. They had rented my unit to another tenant. Apparently when I was in the office renewing my lease someone had applied for the unit at the same time.
I should’ve went to the office earlier but that action left a bad taste in my mouth as I had already signed my renewal. An apology is not enough for the stress I endured especially when my renewal was signed.
I only had a week to find somewhere to move, hire movers, unexpected expenses that I wasn’t expected to have.
