Very annoying useless regulations

Be careful about your contract, there are things they will not tell you, I wanted to break the lease and I was ok paying 1 month rent penalty and 60 days notice but they asked 25% of the remaining lease rent , which is a huge amount of money .
I tried to work it out with them but refuse to even negotiate.
Other issues that these apartments are not fast on maintenance and will make you wait for days if not forever, and will interfere on everything you do in your apartment such as your patio...
furniture if they think it’s not patio furniture.

Better Options Out There.

I tend to call a spade a spade and give an honest review on here.
We just moved out about a month ago and we were so happy to leave. Sadly, all these negative reviews are true.
We had to do a final walk-through inspection with Karen (the manager) and one of the maintenance guys. They
looked at every little thing to see what they could charge you for. The maintenance guy told us to turn off all the lights and then proceeded to use a blacklight to scan all the rooms for carpet stains.
They ended...
up sending us a final bill for the following:
$200 - for painting "touch-ups" that would take 30 minutes to do. We did not hang one single thing on the walls because we had a feeling this would happen. On the initial first tour, Casey (the asst. manager) only told us we had to fill in the holes before leaving. No mention of having to pay to repaint walls.
$75 - to steam clean the carpets even though the maintenance guy found no stains and we had no kids or pets.
$20 - for cleaning the master bathtub (which takes all of 5 minutes to wipe down).
So we ended up having to pay $145 plus losing our $150 deposit as well.
I've lived in four apartment complexes in my lifetime and never once had this kind of treatment. On top of that, we constantly smelled weed around our building (#14), parking was terrible, and our neighbors (two young guys) upstairs made all kinds of noise all hours of the night (stomping or jumping around, nailing up photos at 11pm, playing fetch with theirdI. Call og in the apartment after 10pm, playing loud music , smoking weed, etc.)
No common courtesy for their neighbors.
To be fair. I will say that the ladies in the front office are friendly and professional.
But in good conscience I can't recommend living here. Don't be fooled by the looks or amenities. And btw, they just went up on rent by $200 a month (just one more reason we had to move out). Do your research.

Looks Can Be Deceiving!

Do not waste your time, energy, or money renting from this place. Yes, from the outside, everything looks pristine and oh so nice. However, looks can be deceiving. During our 2 years there, the gates were constantly broken - allowing in unwanted foot traffic and guests. Our garage was broken into and multiple items stolen within our first year there. Not too long after, over 13 vehicles were broken into during a single weekend, to which management responded each time with a “not our personal... property, not our problem” attitude and refused to install more security cameras/lighting. Which explains a lot, since we later found out that this has been an ongoing occurence from friends and family of the office staff (that do reside on the premises). Although the maintenance team is very thorough and quick to follow-up, all major work orders must go above the main office’s management team to be approved/handled. Because of this, we spent over a year paying $170 per month in power bills (for a one bedroom apartment) until our air conditioning was finally replaced, rather than just fixed and Freon being added. From the reviews I had read in the past, you will always receive the bare minimum of your security deposit back and they will always replace the carpet, left clean or not. Those reviews were not wrong, by any means. You can certainly expect a small portion back, with an incredibly skeptical list of all the things they had to fix and replace. I had high hopes for this complex - the apartments are fairly nice and the location is absolutely great. However, the ongoing issues and the extremely dubious office staff were just no longer worth the heachache and extra costs.

Thank you!!!

I’ve lived at The Regent Apartment Homes for four and a half years. If anything was needed the maintenance and/or office staff was fast to react. Once, my AC went out on a Friday around 6 pm. The maintenance staff was there in 10 minutes and fixed the problem in less than 30 minutes!!! I have and will continue to recommend The Regent Apartment Homes to anyone looking to rent.

Would not recommend

This property is not well managed. Though the grounds are nice, very disappointed with how management handled issues from before moving in until moving out. Would not recommend this complex unless it comes under new management.
