Been at Woodlake for 3 years and we love it. Office staff nice and helpful. Clean apartment complex.

regretful 15 months lease

Moved in 6/2/2023.
6/6/2023 reported the A/C unit not working, vents blowing low and sent photos of thermostat readings. Dryer broken
Bathtub makes horrible loud noises when moving in shower. Water leak developed from the apartment above me in the kitchen ceiling.
They had maintenance come out 3 times.
A hole was cut in the kitchen ceiling to address the leak and then a piece of cardboard has been nailed up to cover the hole.
Today is 6/21/2023 and today maintenance came out once again for...
the A/C. I asked him where the high speed vent switch was that he wrote on one of his visits and he said there is no switch for the vents. I told him the issue is the vents are blowing out very low. He said these units have been installed since 1978. (This complex was built in 1986). While tell him about the issues he cut me off twice saying he didn’t want to argue with me. I wasn’t trying to argue with him, I just want the A/C fixed. I showed him a photo of the thermostat reading 79 degrees at 8:30 PM. He said it was really hot that day , and asked me what was the temperature outside on that day. I’m a nurse working 12 hour shift and told him I wasn’t sure, but I’d like to come home to a cool home and sleep comfortably. He said he works outside in the heat and he would like it to be cool at his home too. He then said the unit normally runs 15 degrees cooler than the outside temperature. So I said will it must have been 95 degrees on that day. It’s been almost three weeks and the A/C is still not working effectively and the dryer has still not been fixed even after he has supposedly stated on his little work sheet that the A/C and the dryer are working. On his third visit to my apartment I learned he entered and was in my apartment while I was asleep in my bed. I woke up and went into the kitchen and found his little yellow sheet on the counter. I was HORRIFIED!! And I’m still in shock thinking about that. I’ve been here now nearly three weeks and after 4 visits to my apartment without anything being repaired I completely regret being here!!!! I’m considering legal actions

Wow ….. this is unbelievable and it’s going to be a long agonizing 14 more months to go.

The apartments have older appliances and cabinets. The hot water heater gives you about 10-15 minutes of hot water at a time. There's a lot of bugs im guessing bc its close to the levee. But if you spray u should he ok. The landscaping is nice and the maintenance person come quickly if you report and major problems. The best part about the apartment is the porch. Its nice to sit outside. But if you dont smoke get a bottom floor apartment bc you will get all the cigarette smoke flowing up towards... you if your neighbor smokes. The office personnel are nice but not very informative.

No thanks

They do not work with you for the rent. If you have any type of hardship and might be late on the rent , they don’t care. On the fourth day of the month of your rent isn’t paid in full , they proceed with filing for eviction. I visited other properties and they won’t file eviction till the 15th of the month. Going file on the third really doesn’t give you a chance to try and pay anything and then you’re tact on with the $50 late fee and then the $150 eviction court fees plus $5 everyday you’re... late. It’s highway robbery honestly. Glad I got away from here .

We apologize you are unhappy with our policy. Our policy is applied equally to everyone. We do file eviction after late notices are given out. Most banks, credit card companies, etc. involve late fees due to late payments.

Nice place!

We live in one of the townhouses and we love it! They are pretty quick to fix issues. It's quiet, safe, and nice. We plan on staying here for a bit. They don't raise the rent tremendously every year like some places and it's bigger and cheaper than some I looked at.
