good but not great
We moved into Kingscrest in2017. At the time it had a different management company than us current.
We moved out 4 years later.
The change over in companies was basically smooth and didn’t impact our experience too much. Staff are generally helpful and patient. The maintenance department was responsive and early on our A/C went out. They had an emergency unit in place until they could get us a new heat pump. All in less than a day. For a 400+ unit property I call that pretty... amazing.
Our move had much less to do with them and more the changing needs of our family.
During Covid they obeyed all the directives and management did what they could to alleviate any financial hardships. They worked with local authorities to help tenants with back rent. So we have little to complain about. I would have given it 4 stars but I felt like in the last year the company ( not the management on site) tried to use intimidation tactics for those having financial difficulties due to Covid. However when I reminded them of the law and how things actually are they backed down.
So yeah like any Company they do what they can to get a profit. But it’s a very safe and quiet area and many things are close by which is helpful.
We never had issues with bugs or spiders. And in general they did a very good job in keeping the outside clean and looking respectable. So yes it’s a good place to rent just be sure to read everything and know what you are signing. The office staff is friendly and the manager does listen and responds positively.
So why isn’t it great? Compared to other units in town there are better layouts and more in living space amenities. But if you need a place to be for a while and your needs are met by basic layouts, it’s very good.
I suspect post Covid it will get better.
