Roaches

I found this apartment on here. I’ve been here a month and killed 30 bugs. I’m killing at least 3 small roaches a day, sometimes medium ones. They have German cockroaches and crickets. It’s honestly nasty. I’ve had my apartment treated 3 times and even got traps and spray myself. I moved in and there were 9 dead crickets in the carpet. I had to call and get them to come clean them up. It’s honestly nasty and trifling.

Bad service

I went there to fill out and application, paid the fees and after that they went ghost on me, everyday I been calling for 3 weeks just to figure that they refused because of “poor credit” I have a credit score of 720 so what are u talking about?!
Every time I’d call, they would answer with “I don’t hv an answer for ur question” ok who has an answer??!
Lemme talk to the manager “oh she just left, oh she will be here tomorrow, oh she on a vacation” ...
ur just a bunch of scammers!! Wasted my...
time, money and now idek where I’m moving to !!

It’s a cool starter apt for students!

Leaving after two “okay” years. The studio is a great size for students but I’ve outgrown the space. The neighborhood is surrounded by homeowners and complex neighbors are super friendly, but also know how to mind their business. Grass is cut, parking lot is clean and snow is shoveled promptly. Building is secure and apt alarm is connected to Baltimore county police instead of the city!

There’s free, and fast xfinity WiFi (if someone you know has an account) in the area so luckily, I didn’t...
need to buy my own till like a year in.

Cons:

No online rent payments so you have to either put it in the mail(rental office has lost my money several times via mail) or drive all the way downtown to drop it off.

AC and Heat are not efficient. AC unit is in living room and doesn’t cool the entire apt unless is cranked up high with an additional fan to circulate.

The wall around my AC was caved in and damaged by some heavy rain once and Maintence just spackled and painted over it without removing the wet drywall underneath.

Heating vents are clogged and have never been serviced. Apt isn’t warm unless the heat is on 75 , and even then all the warmth comes from the bathroom vents only.

Which of course means my BGE is high af for a 400 sq ft apt. Unless you like to be ice cold or super hot- your choice!

There’s 100% mold under my carpet- I’ve got the allergies to prove it, and there’s obvious water and mold in the corners of the baseboards. Maintenance was supposed to come inspect but they never did.

My in-apt furnace blows out constantly and needs replacement but maintenance just prefers to come re-light the pilot every time instead. I’ve come home from work on cold winter nights to a broken furnace and had to wait hours for someone to come out at 9pm on a Tuesday!

Occasionally pest problems from ants, to spiders, roaches, and even crickets. I notice it more when older tenants move out.

In the studio apt, there are no electrical outlets in the bathroom. Which yes, is important to me as a woman! The water flow in the tub slows down when other apts are using their own showers and you can hear your immediate neighbors in the shower too.

I picked the place apart, but like I said in the beginning it’s a great starter place but with the latest rent increase without any added amenities or improvements means it’s time for me to go!
