Beautiful Apartments

I have lived here for 5 years. The building, apartment, amenities & Resident events are top of the line! The office staff and maintenance are great! They go out of their way to ensure everyone's happy and things run smoothly. I would highly recommend The Orion.

Great place to live!

I lived here for a year and a half (August 2016 - Feb 2018). While not perfect, it came pretty close. I had a 2 bed, 2 bath. It was spacious and I loved the private entry! It was a little tedious that the mail was at the entrance of the complex and not near my apartment, but it wasn't too bad. The staff at the front desk were always very helpful and maintenance was quick to respond. We did have a problem with some bugs but the apartment had people doing the rounds with bug spray before I could... even call. While the apartment itself wasn't super renovated (and the shelves in the cabinets peeled off on my plates), it wasn't too bad and the area made up for it. While we were no more than 10 minutes away from stores, we were well isolated by trees that it was always peaceful and quiet. There was a park near us that we walked to as much as possible, and a cider mill no more than a 15-minute walk.

My only complaint is that the rent went up when we renewed our contract the first time, and that's ultimately why we decided to move - it was a bit too expensive for us.

I really enjoyed my time here and recommend it.

Love it here

Karen and Amy made the decision to move here easy. The maintenance team was fast on something as simple as a towel rack.

Expensive But Nice

I lived at Waldon Lakes for two years, and I enjoyed my experience there. The grounds are well-maintained, and I rarely had any issues with electrical, plumbing, structural problems, etc. The maintenance staff is pretty responsive, but the only complaint I had was that a mess was usually to be found when they left.

The rent was a little too high for me to continue living there, but I would live there again if the rent wasn't so expensive. I had more than enough space to live, and the newer...
appliances and countertops are wonderful. The in-apartment washer and dryer as a definite plus as well.

I would definitely recommend this apartment complex to a friend looking for an apartment in the area.

This Place has gone Downhill

The only positive thing about this place is the maintenance staff. I have lived here for 4 years and within the past year has taken a dive. The manager is rude and disrespectful. The companies they hire for lawn and snow removal are horrible. Weeds everywhere and no wood chips this year. The maintenance staff is great about keeping the sidewalks clear but plan on buying a shovel to get to your car and dig it out. They never clean snow out of the spots even if they are empty. I moved into one of... the apartments that was a special clearly because it was beat but increased my rent by 125.00 a month last year and if I wanted to stay another year this year it would increase 140.00 a month plus now you have to pay 15.00 a month for water. The advertisement says includes water but that is a lie. They also do not have an exercise room. They removed that after my first year here.It is now a wifi cafe. If you ask for any improvements in your apartment you are told you will have to pay a an upgraded apartment price. I would not recommend raising kids here. Lots of kids and teens with clearly no adult supervision or the adults are too busy fighting at the top of their lungs and rolling around on the ground in the parking lot. I am surrounded by this behavior from the people below me, next to me and across the street from me and I'm pretty sure the people behind me are dealing drugs. I have never been late on my rent and I am quiet and respectful of my neighbors but it doesn't matter to the management company if you are a great tenant. I was told by the manager that she doesn't take complaints personally and that apartment living is not meant to be permanent. What a ridiculous thing to say! Keep your apartment and your outrageous rent increase. So many nicer apartments in Lake Orion.
