Living here was the worst decision in 2022!
I was a returning resident of Lemay Lake. I lived here for about a year prior to Covid 2019 era. Moving back to Lemay Lake Apartments was the worst decision I had made in 2022. I had only lived there for about a month when my kitchen started to flood. This led to cockroaches coming out of my sink, dishwasher and dispersing all over my apartment. I was able to get out of my lease but I still had to pay $2500 to do so while trying to get out of my lease I was not able to live in my apartment due... to them spraying down the unit for cockroaches. I had to purchase a storage unit to keep all my furniture in so that the cockroaches would die before bringing them into a new place. I have contacted the city and county and they have stated that this is not the first time they are hearing that this property is not livable. From what I have heard the buildings are infested with cockroaches but in order for them to get rid of them they need to clear the units. Management might have sprayed down my unit one time but they did not come back to do it more than once. Spraying once does not help the cockroaches were still moving in the apartment after being sprayed down.
I had lived there for 2 months and my kitchen flooded TWO times. When this happens I had a good amount of water in my kitchen almost touching the carpet. I had disgusting water coming up from my dishwasher and into my sink. I know that it is all connected but it is really gross smelling. Then I had to spend money on getting towels cleaned after picking up the mess. The maintenance person is absolutely amazing and I feel bad that he has to deal with me at this point.
Cockroaches - I had cockroaches coming up from my sink. When I wash my dishes and open the dishwasher there were cockroaches crawling out from the bottom of the dishwasher. I have never seen something like this before and they tend to come out more after the kitchen floods.
Management did send out a note about weed on the premise but it was an issue as I was constantly smell it through the vents in my bathroom.
One night I was taking my dog out to go to the bathroom around 11:00pm. When I was coming back in I saw someone crawl through a window on the first floor of my building. If someone can crawl through a window on the first floor.. What would stop someone from crawling through my window as I sit on the first floor right by the doorway?
