Don’t recommend living here!

If I could give zero stars I would. I had moved into Valley Creek apartments a few weeks ago and have already moved out and found a much better apartment. Kenzie gave me a tour of a different unit but neglected to tell me that the unit I was leasing was a handicap accessible apartment( didn’t find out until the day I moved in) the unit was beyond dirty when I moved in, things were broken, it smelled, and the whole building smelled like weed the entire time I was there ( even though they said... it was drug free.) They said quiet hours were from 10 pm until 7 am but yet the people above me were running around until midnight every single night. I wouldn’t recommend Valley creek apartments to anyone!

Property is misleading from images and in person tours!

I have been living here for little over 3 months now and these are my opinions on this property. My overall thoughts are that the apartment is NO WHERE near luxury more like updated/modern style. Everything in the apartment is updated that you can see but the parts that are more expensive to make it luxury are still in the 90s era or non-existent.

Pros:
-The maintenance team is very quick and on point with repairs. So far, I have had 4 requests for things to fix and the team took anywhere...
from 24-48 hours depending on how busy they are.
-Management team is great! I was not happy with my first unit due to loud neighbors and the management team allowed me to switch units within my 30-day satisfaction guarantee period. There was no hidden fee either which was great.
-Appliances are updated which is lovely for cooking.

Cons:
-The walls and floors are very thin, so you hear everything around you, so if you are person that works from home or like quietness either get a top floor unit or don't live here since you will be dealing with kids running, hearing people walk around all day long in their apartment.
-There is no heat control in this place. The windows are from the 90's or are very cheap new windows. The windows do not help with heat control. I live in a unit that gets the sunrise but I have to keep my blinds shut all day just so my apartment can stay below 72 which the A/C units cranked all day long. If I don't do either, the apartment will get to be nearly 80 by noon. The way the property is heated is through base board heaters that are load when they turn on and off. I understand being on the top floor you are more likely to have a warmer unit but there are times where I can turn off my heat in my unit and it stays at 68-70 all day. I have not been here for the super cold days so I cannot speak directly to how the apartment is but if it is anything like the hot summer days than your energy bill will skyrocket.
-The hallways are always horrid smelling and the there is always trash/stains on the floor throughout the hallways.

Take this how you want, I am not trying to say this place is the worst, I know their worst places, but I would recommend looking elsewhere. Your money could be better spent elsewhere and on an actual luxury apartment.

If things get better here, I will happily update this review but in my short 3 months these are my thoughts. All I can say is that I will not be signing an extension of the lease.

Valley Creek Apartments

I have been living at Valley Creek Apartments for over 10 years. We have changed management about 4 or 5 times. But I have been fine with change it never bothers me. I always get along with people well. I think it depends on your personality and how you deal with people. If you keep it positive, I believe you can always have a good experience where ever you live.
