meets everything i wanted in a studio

I’ve lived here since summer 2021 and honestly it’s been great! I have no plans to leave unless I move out of Springfield. The rent is very affordable which is becoming harder and harder to come by, and to me that's very important. When I moved to Springfield I wanted something affordable but still NICE, and I would say both of those things continue to be met. One thing I wish I had thought about before moving in was not having any outdoor private space (i.e. a patio or small balcony on the... units), but honestly, for the price and having A/C that never has an issue, a washer and dryer in the unit that's also never had a problem, not a huge BUT a nicely updated kitchen, etc., I can’t complain about that. Safety-wise, for what it’s worth, in the last 2.5 years I’ve never had a scary safety issue or had anything alarming happen in my building/floor; also last summer I was working abroad and left my car in the parking lot for 3 months completely unattended and it was completely untouched the entire time lol. One time in that span of time, a person was camped out behind the dollar tree for a few days and their dog got in the property and was exploring around a little, but honestly the situation was not unsafe, was taken care of quick, and a few of us got the dog attended to. All in all they do a good job of keeping things secure with the pedestrian and car gates (a dog is a bit of an outlier in my opinion lol). I’ve never felt unsafe but I’ve lived in both much worse AND much more bougie neighborhoods across the US. as a single woman I’m not exactly walking around near Kansas Expy at night lol but I do walk my dog around before sunset and everything’s always been chill. The property manager has changed a couple of times but each person I’ve interacted with has been kind, helpful, they quickly helped me out when I needed the after-hours maintenance once, the only time it was needed. Neighbors definitely can be loud at night, but that’s more of an apartment-complex luck of the draw thing to me and depends on who lives/moves in by you. I’d recommend this complex without feeling like I was needing to make disclaimers or gloss over things at all, and if I was doing it over again I’d still lease here

Not recommended.

This place is very arbitrary in its policies. They switch managers often and some are very resident-friendly and some are misguided in their efforts to make the community better by imposing fines without explaining why several fines are charged on their account. For many reasons I would not recommend.

Don’t move here

Horrible experience!!!! Property manager doesn’t respond to you for days. Dog park is filled with trash. Neighbors are loud all hours of the night. Cops are here all hours of the night. My neighbor overdosed on drugs. Neighbors smoke and leave cigarette buds on my door mat. I’ve had things stolen from me. Cars have been broken into. I reached out multiple times and made complaints to the manager. I tried getting out of my lease. I follow the rules and do everything right but the property... doesn’t make my neighbors abide by the rules. They should of let me out of my lease with no penalty. Instead they asked me to renew my lease and they raised the rent. Like are you kidding me? This is not a safe or nice place to live.
