Look around before deciding
I’ve lived here for 2.5 years and it was a pretty mixed bag.
Overall, living there served its purpose and I met some great people there. I would say look at all options if you can before deciding on being here. There are newer apartments that have come up in that past few years that have comparable pricing at Park at Crossroads.
The Good:
Great Location…I’m able to get to most places in 15-20 mins
The Maintenance Team was great. Whenever I need something they will usually handle it the... same day.
Parking was great. Plenty of spots for everyone including guests if needed.
Great people to live around. Most are pretty friendly.
The bad:
The price of rent has gone up quite a bit without real justification to the point where it made sense to move to another apartment complex or buy a house.
The amount of noise from neighbors. I understand you are living in an apartment around people but it was more than usual.
The apartments (compared to newer complexes you would see all over town) are just flat out old. Kitchen, bathroom, windows, etc have seen better days. Ancient A/C unit. The unit I rented was pretty beat up when I moved in (maintenance was great getting issues repaired as fast as possible).
Dirty breezeways. The office rarely keeps the stairways and breezeways clean. You will find dirt, cobwebs, and pollen for months without anyone cleaning.
The office staff is very unorganized. There have been times when rent payments had to be located due to clerical errors, misplaces keys at move out, etc.
It took filing a BBB complaint and threatening a lawsuit to get my deposit returned (it still took more than 4 months to recover it) .
Trash piles up in the trash compactor to the point of it spilling out into the street. Summer months bring out a huge number of roaches and rodents. Maintenance workers try their best to clean up each morning during the week but they need larger (or multiple) trash compactors to keep up with the amount of people living there.
I would definitely take a look around before considering Park at Crossroads.
