we lived here for 4 years and left because our experience the last year was horrible.

Leasing staff is just there for a paycheck they do not care for the residents at all. There is no community engagement whatsoever, no events no activities provided by management for residents like most other apartment complexes. Residents are also notified of things happening around the premises the day off or while they are fixing or doing something within the hour. There is no heads up with construction projects, fire alarms, and electricity or water outages. We had a water issue in our... building for over 2 months and there was still no cold water in our building when we left as well as limited parking, that alone should tell you how much they care about their residents. Also, there is a fee for anyone that makes a payment online, definitely not convenient at all.

As for the amenities…the gym is pathetic small and old, the only thing usable was the treadmills. The pool is always closed even during spring and summer, getting things fixed or have maintenance issues every week leaving residents without a decent pool day. The grills are never cleaned so be prepared to scrub before using. New appliances were needed in the apartments, appliances break every 3 months. We had our dishwasher break 3 times in a 6 month period, Dryer broke twice in a year, the AC breaks every summer so get ready for pure heat in the middle of summer and not have it fixed until 3 days later dealing with heat waves. Terrible wall paint that is hard to clean, the walls are super thin so beware of hearing other peoples conversations. The internet provided sucks especially if you plan to work from home.

Premises is not appealing at all, the hallways smelled like dog pee and there were stains all through the building making it look trashy, defiantly not luxury as stated by management. .Also, Residents don’t pick up after their dogs and the dog park is never clean. There were several loud residents screaming from the balcony through the week while you are trying to sleep and get ready for work in the morning.

There is crime around the apartment complex, my husbands work van was broken into twice. There are no cameras around the complex except for the leasing office, club house and pool.

Overall, I would not recommend living here, the only thing we loved about living here is the many grocery store and restaurants. Look the other way and find something worth your money.

I have had a mixed experience at the Crest at Greylyn. Pros: It has friendly and helpful management and maintenance staff. It handles maintenance requests promptly. It's within walking distance of a great greenway (McAlpine). The grounds are generally clean. It's very conveniently located behind a Lidl. Cons: They don't exercise control over residents in a meaningful way. People smoke weed at the pool. I had problem with regular partying and pot smoking from my surrounding neighbors... essentially until they moved even though I regularly contacted management. They Gym is open during totally worthless hours if you have a job and the owners have made no effort to assist residents and don't seem to find any issue with the total failure to provide a promised service.
