Horrific experience
I can’t recommend that anyone live at Crown Ridge after being here for over 2 years. This is the first place we have rented that we couldn’t wait to have in our rearview mirror. We encourage anyone who is considering them to assess the following, pay attention to the other reviews that speak to similar, and wait until the new complex opens down the road.
First, there is a profound issue with air circulation between the apartments. If your neighbor smokes cigarettes or other substances(which has... been pervasive), you will eat the plumes of smoke. It will affect your eyes, throat, cause headaches, and permeate your furniture and clothing. It is strong enough to affect you if you have asthma or are generally a non-smoker. The property management does not care about this even after written report. It goes unacknowledged. For example, they do not regularly change the air filters and won’t unless put into writing that you need one.
Second, if you are someone that values peace, there is no soundproofing between upstairs neighbors and downstairs neighbors. It is essentially vinyl flooring and then wood. It creates a giant drum-like effect where your ceiling is essentially the surface of their drum. You will hear specific words and sentences spoken by your neighbor. You will hear every footstep, every impact, and you will be able to identify songs, TV shows, and movies that they are watching at reasonable volumes.
Does your upstairs neighbor own a dog? You essentially will also whether you like it or not as a result. You will hear every bark, every whine, nails against the floor, toys and dog bones against the floor, the sound of the dog pounding against their crate to be released if the owner isn’t present.
Roving and unmonitored children in the parking lot, on bikes/scooters, etc. during the summer are a perpetual issue. They will play near your car with footballs and basketballs, they will pull on tree branches near your cars and windows, they will beat on your door.
Management does not take steps to enforce policies other than empty announcements. In the past, noise complaints were addressed by advising us to contact law enforcement.
Third, the exhaust fans in the bathrooms are not adequate in venting water vapor in many of the apartments. This results in mildew and mold as the water gets trapped on popcorn ceiling and drips down.
Should these issues finally drive you to ending your time with Crown Ridge, you will receive no mercy from Peak Living
