Roaches, cigarette smoke

Smell of cigarette smoke. Made my clothes, couch, bed all smell like cigarette smoke. I have complained multiple times, didn't even get a response. Also, they have a huge roach problem. If you want roaches falling from the ceiling and onto your bed while you're sleeping, this is the place for you! Their pest control is a joke. They spray, roaches are back the next day. I am so happy we are moving out. There are apartments in the area at a similar price, that are way better than this dump.

You do not want to live here-Beware

The marketing that Tesla states is all meaningless words and their actions prove this fact. Their own rules that are in the lease that everyone signs states that “Any party or gathering may in no way be so large in size or noise level as to infringe upon the rights of your neighbors.” They also state that Tesla “will do everything that we can to enforce and uphold these rules so as to protect these rights, including warnings, fines, privilege restrictions; up to and including possible eviction.”... They also state that there are quite hours from 11 pm through 7 am every night. But, Tesla does not enforce these, nor do they do enough to make the violators follow them. For years, my neighbor has had excessively loud gatherings going until 2 and 3 am and violating all of these noise rules. For years I have filed in writing and verbal complaints, first to the low-level staff, then to the manager on sight and finally when still nothing was done to effectively resolve this, to the Senior Regional Manager. She has had several emails from me telling her about how these same tenants wake me up in the middle of the night with boisterous behavior that sounds like they are having a wrestling match and slamming against furniture that is hitting the walls. I can hear this and their excessively loud voices and it wakes me up out of a sound sleep even over the sound of a very large and loud fan (not a quite ceiling fan). It is detrimental to a person’s health when they go 5 and 6 nights in a row without as much as an hour or two sleep each night. This goes on during the work week and I have to work the next day. This lack of sleep as adversely affected my work performance, and also affects my personal life as I am very tired all day. These neighbors also break the rule and leave trash and refuse on their balcony outside as though it was a dumpster, this trash has been there every single day for years and the only time it is removed is if I complain, which I have to do over and over and over, and then two days later more is back and stays there for years. These people that are breaking these rules DON’T EVEN LIVE HERE and are not on the lease but are guests of the tenant. They apparently have a few days off of work and they come over to a place that they don’t even live and are loud waking me up when I have to work and they have MORE RIGHTS than I do, a paying customer. And Tesla does absolutely nothing to be sure this does not continue to happen or follow up with me.

Initially loved living here... now not so much!

I am a current resident who moved in a few months ago & initially enjoyed living here, however over the last few months I have come to regret the decision. Over the past few months I have had to share my apartment with waterbugs - NOT what I enjoy! I have complained pretty much weekly for the last 5 weeks and yes, they have sent the exterminator over on a weekly basis to treat my apartment & even the entire building as the neighbor below me & across the hall have also had them in their apartment... . I have had them come through the door seam, found them in the dishwasher, my bathroom, on the walls in my living room, in the kitchen on my counter top. I myself have put down boric acid powder, tablets, treated with Orkin Home Defense bug spray, Combat Bait traps & Advion gel & bait traps but to no avail. The exterminator left me a note explaining that these are not an invasive species & are waterbugs not cockroaches - which isn't necessarily true as they are known as the American Cockroach. And to have so many showing up all over my apartment makes me question his opinion on not being an invasive species. I used to live in another complex a mile down the road for almost 3 years & never had this problem. I do currently live in the back on the 3rd floor & am surrounded by trees along my balcony so maybe this contributes to the waterbug situation but I had also lived on the 3rd floor at the last complex. If I could get out of my lease without being stuck paying a penalty I would just to not have to deal with this anymore. It appears that instead I will have to continue calling & complaining until this situation is resolved. In regards to complex itself... the grounds are pretty nicely kept up with the exception of the apartment staircases where the spiders are everywhere, nothing worse than walking into the darn cobwebs in the morning on my way to work. People are overall nice, a lot of people walking dogs & cleaning up after them accordingly. It is a quiet complex & my neighbors are really friendly. I do wish there was a 2nd entrance into the complex itself as a few months back the transformer tower on College Rd at the entrance was out so the road was blocked off & it took over an hour before we could gain access to pull in. Traffic in the morning can be challenging but that is part of living on S. College Rd.

Perfect Community!

I love living in Tesla Park! It is a quiet, family friendly community. We are beside the little marsh that has all kinds of nature (alligator and lots of turtles!). There is plenty of storage in the 2BR 2Bath unit. The cabinets are a little dated in the bathroom and the kitchen. Pool is a great size. Great pricing and nice office people!
