Don't do it.

I have been living here for close to two years now, let me start off with the good because its going to be the shortest list on the planet. Its conveniently close to misc areas I enjoy going out to.
So lets begin on the bad!
I moved in and before I moved in I was promised a washer and dryer because I will be on the third floor. There was no washer or dryer. I had to fight for that because it was clearly written in my lease and thr only response they gave me that it was an error and had to void...
the lease, but I already had my keys and moving stuff in? Ok. Anyways. I got the washer and dryer, moving on there was an awful dog stench in thr carpets, I got a rug doctor and cleaned them MYSELF and was petrified in the amount of dirt I drug up. The garbage disposal didnt work. Our freezer woukd freeze then thaw out periodically through the week(it STILL isnt fixed) And there was a crack in the wall which eventually they patched. Fast forward to summer of this year, keep in mind I live on the 3rd floor I went close to 2 months with no AC or any compensation towards it until they half fixed it, still does not get below 76°F in my unit. I've requested with the previous management to be relocated because during all of this a HOLE is in my ceiling above my fridge. Since the new management has taken over they asked I give them a chance. September 22nd they were suppose to come out to fix these issues nobody came, no phone call. Missed work. They didnt show up until October 13th while my significant other was working. Said they needed to come back this past Monday because he cannot have people walking around while he is working. We went up to the office and made it very clear he is to be off Monday. Guess who didnt show up!?Them! I called yesterday at 4:40pm only for them to say it was scheduled for today. I told them absolutely not. They have since apologized saying this "fell throught the cracks" and will have someone out. Turns out the fridge needs a thermostat and they have to order a part. So I am now on the 3rd floor in my 76° F apartment with my half working fridge with a hole in my ceiling with them wanting rent paid on the 1st. Don't move here, all I ask is to be moved to a unit preferably on the 1st floor and resume my lease. I am honestly tired of lies and broken promises. I still have a list of other issues that has happened. If you'd like to contact me about my poor experience with the old company and the new. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

REVIEW

I lived here for only a year. It is a peaceful and quite neighborhood. Management was friendly. But the apartment I viewed, which was updated, was not the one i moved into. You are not allowed to view the one you will be moving into. It has old 1980's cabinets, kitchen counter tops, and bathroom counter tops, sinks and showers. Was disappointed that i was sold on the one that was viewed before moving, but signed a lease for something totally different. I felt like i was lied to. I had planned on... staying there for a while until i received my lease renewal. To resign for 12 months, the rent was going up $70-80. I was shocked. I did talk them down to only $40 increase, but still with all the additional fees like $5 pest, $10 trash, $50 cable, and a water bill that fluctuated between $60-75 a month,(and that was without a washer or dryer), which i had considered getting since there were hook-ups, but could not imagine how high the water bill would be if I had purchased a washer & dryer. It is just to expensive to stay here. So my family is moving.

Moved in June of 2012 and there is no place like home.

My complex is clean and everyone's friendly. Coming home after a long day and meeting my neighbors by the pool for a swim is awesome! It is a apartment home all the way around.

Review

I have lived here for three years and I love it. They have two pools so they aren't crowded. If you need maintenance they come the same day and fix it. The people at the leasing office are friendly as well. The community is clean and my neighbors are nice!

Colonial Village at Glen Eagles

Upon applying for this apartment, I thought it was too good to be true and I was very excited to move into me and my fiances apartment. When we visited the leasing office, we were quoted at $550 for our apartment, so we were excited to look. We asked if we could see said apartment and were told it wasnt ready to see yet. It took about two weeks til we could see it and whem we toured the apartment we were told it would be $610. We argued that we were quoted a lower price the woman showing the... apartment said we could have the apartment below for that price but we would have to wait a month for her to move out and them get the apartment ready. Knowing the deal was still good, we waited. When we finally moved in we had to drive around the complex to find where the dumpsters were and without being told where or what, we found the compactor. We pay $10 in trash fees a month for ONE compactor in the complex
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone because of various ongoing issues that aren't addressed immediately. The only reason we are still here is because we got such a good deal on the apartment(after we fought to keep it). If they raise the price when our lease is up, we will be looking elsewhere. I wouldn't pay any more than I do now for the service and quality I get.
