2bedroom at Legacy Park

The space in my apartment is pretty good. For the most part it's a good place to live; decent size bathrooms, decent closet space, nice pool and fitness room....however...

It's supposed to be a gated community but the out gate is ALWAYS broken and the people who live here do not care about following the rules and going in thru the out door is something they just do. Which I HATE because it keeps the gate broken.
The dog park needs water installed.
Some of the people who live here have...
absolutely no respect for their neighbors and make it difficult to love your home.

Thought it would be better...

Moved in here about 3 months ago and was very excited at first. The first week was great... and then it changed. My upstairs neighbor is by far the loudest person on Earth. They come home anywhere from Midnight to 4 am which can make it difficult to sleep. I've never heard anyone walking that loud and playing music/slamming cabinets like that. I talked to office and told them the situation, but nothing has changed. I understand there will always be some noise but it's crazy. The complex was... built around 2009 I think, so you would think the insulation between floors would be better!

The first full month of rent we had to "fight" with the office staff to get the app fee back toward rent as we were told and still had the flyer/note from it. After about 10 minutes of fighting for that $40 bucks we went and got the cashiers check for rent. We paid for the month of September on the August 25th. On 9/6 we got a late notice demanding payment! I called the office and reminded them we paid on 8/25 well before the due date. It took the office 2 full days to find the check that was deposited, but not in the system. Of course they waived the late fees, but I'm sure it still shows we're late in the system, even if we weren't.

Not joking, but the office staff has changed 3 times in 2 and 1/2 months!! When I signed my lease it was one Asst. Mgr and Mgr. The Asst. left, then just the Mgr was there. Now they have a new Mgr and new Asst!! I don't know what is going on within this company, but I guess they either like firing people or they quit because they hate it. It's really hard to respect your landlords if they rotate almost monthly.

The security gate is a joke and overrated. A big big hassle. We had to pay $10/each for access cards which seemed weird since we didn't have a choice... I understand if we lost them, we would have to pay, but upfront? The gate is ALWAYS broken, either the entrance or the exit. I mean it works fully about 1 day out of 7. Each resident with a card gets a 3-digit code to give friends, etc that will call your phone to let them in. Both the manager and asst. gave us the codes, but neither worked. Finally got them to work, but no one in the office knew how to open the gate from your phone... we tried pound, star, 123, etc. So, when friends/family come over I have to either meet them at the office and leave from there or run up and let them in... What's the point of the gate?

The maintenance staff is great and will do anything to get the job done.

The complex also has a ton of speed bumps. To get to the bottom of the complex you literally crossover 6 or 7 speed bumps...! Sounds small, but it's highly annoying.

The apt itself is spacious, but very basic. I really feel like it's overprice for what you get. The carpet when moving in was cleaned but had a lot of spots (bleach) and tears. When we did a walk through before moving in we were promised new carpet, but that didn't happen. There is no utilities included so rent and bills can get pricey. Rent is $800 for a 2 bed with sun room, water is around $20, power is around $80, cable etc makes it upward of $1,000 for this apt. I really feel like it's not worth it.

I will not be renewing my lease here after it's up next year. I'm hoping it will get better... but not sure if it will...

Love my apartment

I have lived here almost a year and I love it here! The pool and work out room are great! Everyone in the office has been really nice and always helpful with anything I have asked. Maintenance usually comes out same day and I normally don't have to call them back. Best part is It only takes me about 5 minutes to get to school. Neighbors are really nice and I never have any complaints.

rude

apartment is not bad, but the office staff are very unfriendly and rude. The office staff keep changing, chances are when you come next days, people will be going and coming. Maintenance service is not good, they do not really keep up with service requests.
