DO NOT MOVE HERE.

unless you want to search for a parking spot for more than an hour that also , NON RESIDENTS USE AS WELL then this place is not the one for you. I thought non residents were towed after 9PM? that was clearly a lie. THEY LIE ABOUT EVERYTHING. GARAGE IS NOT $50. EVERYTHING THAT IS LISTED HERE IS A LIE. CLOCKTOWER IS A BIG LIE.

Recommend clocktower

Great underground parking
Great location to downtime nashua
Great Staff
Great Maintenance
Good size living rooms, and bedrooms
With the new road easy access to the highway
Reasonably priced
Gym/Indoor pool/Hottub.

My girlfriend and I have lived at Clocktower going on 3 years now, on the 5th floor Phase 1 - We both love it, the staff are friendly and really do take care of you (i've seen them deal with really rude people and always keep it professional). We have never had an issues with...
maintenance they are always prompt; very efficient and do a great job. (They will even shampoo your carpets once a year at no cost.)

The location is really nice, we enjoy morning walks before work (stopping off for coffee @ DD) which is only 15mins away, we are even more excited that Graffiti Paintbar is moving to main street.

We have peeked in other apartments when they are empty and I think we are very lucky not to have any columns in ours.... everyone who visits us loves the space and the high ceilings are great!

I've read some of the other comments on here and most are very exaggerated - Our heat bill last month was $12 - Granted we are on the fifth floor and probably get heat from below but even in the peek of summer with the AC I don't think our bill went over $70-$80. Our rent has increased 9% over 3 years which seems normal.

If I had one complaint it would be very small -

1. Someone on the 3rd floor is a bad cook and keeps setting the fire alarm off! :) However it's a good chance to chat to your neighbors while waiting for the all clear.

2. As you walk into our apartment it's carpet (we have seen some that have a 5 x 5 vinyl flooring section) - we have an army of mats we try to use as you walk in but still manages to show it's age (dirt) more right by the door.

Cheers

the good, the bad and the ugly

Clocktower apartments used to be a mill building from the 1800s. In the 80s it was gutted and renovated to be apartment buildings. This means there is a mix of old and new.
When I was shown the apartment for the first time, I loved how there was lots of space. Big living room and bedrooms, can fit furniture and move around easily.
Kitchen and bathroom are a bit small but still ok. Lots of counter space and cabinets in the kitchen. It comes with built in microwave, fridge, dishwasher, garbage...
disposal in sink. But, the appliances are from the early 90s and are in bad shape. Fridge is noisy and runs up the electric bill, does not have an automatic shutting door, have to push it shut hard or it can stay ajar and waste energy. They didn't make much effort cleaning the microwave before I moved in either, it was gross.
AC/Heating is also built in and works well, has an air filter to boot. BUT you get billed extra for it even if you don't use it, and bills can vary wildly, from 30 one month to over 100 the next. On the rare occasion it fails they have radiator heaters they can give you until it is fixed.
There are great views out the windows - if you are on the right side facing the river. If you are on the wrong side all you see is a big hill, a wall and old buildings across the parking lot. The surrounding neighborhood is okay, and one of the big benefits is that it is located near scenic trails through the woods called Mine Falls Park, one of my favorite places.
There are a number of negatives as well. The management philosophy is to nickel and dime it's residents with fees for nearly everything. Like I mentioned the extra fee for ac/heating even if you don't use it. Water and trash are the only things they don't bill you extra for. There is an average gym, swimming pool and jacuzzi build in but you have to pay $25 a month to access it. If you want to have a cat that is an up front fee and a monthly fee. If you lose your key or laundry card that is a big fee. There are no assigned parking spots and if you have a guest park in the lot they have to move the car by 9pm or get towed for 200 bucks. There are parking garages nearby but then your guest has to get up before 9am on weekdays to move the vehicle.
The building itself has water leaking issues. Sometimes during rainstorms brown rusty droplets fall from the ceiling and stain the rug or your furniture. Inside the ac/heating vent is a horror show of stagnant water, rust and mold.

Property Manager at Clocktower Place responded to this review

One of the best features to the website is the option to review our property. We thank you for the time you took to do so. This tool serves as an inside view to what our residents are experiencing, management can then review and hopefully solve... issues within our power. We are glad that the building size met your needs for the most part. I am sorry to hear you have/had troubles with your appliances. Management is open to assessing the condition of your kitchen appliances in order to make a determination for replacement. We understand that sometimes appliances do reach the end of their better lifespan. With respect to the microwave, I will address this concern with our cleaning staff so they can bring more attention to detail. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We want your home to be as near as perfect as possible when you take occupancy. Our views we offer are both city and river view. The river view is quite picturesque and our city view does provide quite a bit of natural sunlight on the most floors. The historical charm of this building is that it was re-purposed from a buzzing textile mill that functioned on hydro-power provided by Nashua River. This canal or "lock" as it was called, was once located in the parking lot in the front of the building - it is now our parking garage. Pretty great utilization of the space! The lower floors do have a view of the rolling hills that served as a barrier to this canal, but also gives a certain level of privacy to the apartments as well. Every resident has a different preference as to what is important to them when shopping for their new apartment home and as a result we are proud to be able to offer a wide array of space that suits most. Clocktower does have charges for various services we offer, and we have found that our costs are highly competitive with other properties in the area. The downtown area is a bustling area as the hub of some of the most fantastic events. Pair this with upcoming improvements parking sometimes does become a temporary inconvenience. These improvements have an effect on our parking as well and we do make every effort to keep our residents informed when these improvements will inconvenience them. We want to make all the possible options available to our resident in order to obtain a parking spot within the location of the building after coming home from a busy day. Our guest policy does allow for guests to visit and park on our surface lot until 9pm daily, any time after that we do encourage our residents to have their guests locate to the free parking lot on High Street. Our maintenance team highly encourages our residents to report any moisture issues they encounter whether from the interior of the apartment, (a/c condensation pan) or any exterior moisture concerns. It is a simple fix to clean out the a/c condensation pan, the surrounded affected areas, and treat with an algaecide tab in order to prevent the natural growth of any type of mildew. We ask our residents to place a work order in order to complete this process. We would be happy to discuss with you the instances regarding the concerns you have regarding ceiling spotting. Our work is never done as a management team and we are dedicated to improving your apartment home environment as it always benefits our residents as well as the community. Again, your feedback is greatly appreciated and thank you for taking the time to thoroughly expressing your concerns and the balance with the positive as well. Our phone number is 603-880-3961 if we can further help you with these concerns.

Location, Location, Location and then some

Clocktower Place is located in the heart of Nashua, the "Gate City" of New Hampshire. A short walk to the city's quaint Main Street offers residents an eclectic choice of restaurants (American, Thai, Greek, Seafood, Italian, classic diners, etc.) and the chance to shop in its small specialty, clothing, shoe and jewelry shops. CT place is ideally located for easy access to the Massachusetts border and many commuters find the living easy at CT place. You are also about a 20 minute drive from... the Manchester, NH airport. Clocktower Place itself is a converted Mill building located on the Nashua River, and started life as a textile center manufacturing quality material and offering employment to many young men and women who came from the nearby farms to enjoy city life and good wages from the mid-1800s to the Great Depression. Its one, two, and three-bedroom apartments offer a variety of floor plans and views of either city or river views. The facility offers indoor parking, an Olympic pool, and a state-of-the-art gym, and laundry facilities on each floor. Throughout the year, management plans meet/greet functions where neighbors may enjoy entertainment and good food. Overall it is a good place to live. C'mon up to Nashua and check us out.
