Not worth it.
I was an upstanding tenant for three years. My rent was on autopay so I was NEVER late. I also never had any complaints made against me. Let me start off by saying, the apartments are old. Which is fine. I picked up my keys sometime in 2019, they handed me a checklist and told me to sign it. The next day to prepare for the movers, my mom and I clean the place from top to bottom, which included vacuuming the carpet. My mom had to empty my Dyson THREE times. It was FULL of cat hair. So basically... these owners are not paying for professional cleaners in between tenants. They're solely relying on tenants to clean when they move out before handing over the keys to someone else. So when it's time for me to move out in 2022 I clean the entire apartment. The tub's enamel in the back left corner started to fade with regular cleaning (because I'm a clean person) and when I moved in I could tell it was already a weak area. Also, please be aware that the categories for the move-out checklist are Good, Poor and Bad. Poor and bad are the same. Anyway, I had anxiety all through the holidays because I couldn't stop thinking about how much they were going to ding me despite the apartment having minor wear and tear. After living there 3 years, it's not going to look the same and property owners are supposed to build maintenance costs into their budget planning. Well they don't. They took $200 from my security deposit. Apparently it costs $174.50 to refinish the bathtub in one spot about the circumference of a shaving cream can, and $25 to "clean the stovetop." What a joke. It's a quiet place that's cheap and old and if you're lucky maybe you'll get a unit with a stove from 2008 like I did. You get what you pay for though. Money is tight these days so I get why they attract and keep tenants. Just know you're not getting your whole deposit back. Lastly, I'll say this. The reviews about the manager... Her demeanor/attitude is the last thing you need to be worried about here. Anyway, I'm glad to have put this place in my past. Good riddance.
