Don’t Move Here
First off, the place has gone down hill since it opened. The parking lot is treated as both a trash receptacle and an ash tray (smoke-free…yeah right). Two parking spots is bull as numerous tenants have stored their vehicles in the lots and taken up space (one tenant sincerely had 6 CARS…this is an apartment complex, not your mansion). Garages and fire lanes are constantly blocked. Maintenance used to be great, but now they hardly work and help only if they feel like it, such as their inability... to address blown/malfunctioning parking lot lights in a timely manner because that isn’t a safety issue, and apparently neither is having starling nests in dry vent exhausts, but what do I know about potential fire hazards. The buildings are hardly cleaned and, with dogs allowed in all of them now, constantly reek of dogs (not to mention the dogs that spend a good portion of the day barking). Your neighbors think they own the place and are monstrously inconsiderate (they also can’t check the temperature outside and think having the stairwell windows open when it’s 20 and snowing or 92 degrees out is perfectly fine when the buildings have one heating/A/C unit on each side of the first floor to magicly work for the whole building, which, shocking, they don’t, and the upper floors will be cold in winter and grossly balmy in summer). The pool is barely open in the summer. The Zion Fellowship, strategically located behind buildings 1-4, likes to hold service outside on occasion so expect a 4 hour (yes, really) Praise Jesus concert on Sunday morning (hope you weren’t expecting to sleep in). The grass behind those same buildings is only mowed once a year and filled to brim with golden rod, so stock up on Allegra. With all of that and people flying through the parking lot and blocking you in because they need to have a conversation in the middle of the lane, and tenants using their balconies as storage for their excessive belongings, I’m not sure how this place could possibly be appealing. Honestly, by now, if you haven’t figured out that nothing is free because that fee is technically covered by your rent (internet isn’t given away because you looked nice today), then I don’t know what to tell you…other than move ANY. PLACE. ELSE!
