Roach infestation
I've lived here for over three years. The same appointment floor plan is $200 cheaper than I'm paying now with my rent increases. They got rid of the dog park and there is a major roach problem.

I wouldn't live here again if I could go back in time. Maybe wait like 3 or 4 years and then live here. Currently lots of construction noise, equipment left in hallway, etc. In addition:
- Elevator breaks every 2 weeks or so
- Front garage door has been broken for over a month
- Pool area usually smells like dog pee in the summer due to the turf pet park
- Have had water leak into my apartment 5 times in the time I've lived here
- 7th floor hallway has had a leak in the ceiling since I moved... in over 2 years ago
- Accidentally drilled through my ceiling into my apartment while working on the roof
- It's owned by Uptown Rentals if you've lived with them before that will give you the vibe
- Poop and pee in hallways pretty often
- Ants in the hallway on 7th floor from garbage room
Overall for the price you pay, I'd live in one of the newer buildings in the area and not have to deal with the renovations/construction/Uptown Rentals. If you're reading this a few years into the future, maybe it's gotten better.

I have called this apartment for five straight days in attempt to hear about availability and schedule a tour. I have left messages and also emailed. No one has gotten back to me. So I cannot vouch for the inside of the building, because I will never get to see it because they for some reason cannot call people back. However, I think it does speak to poor management and I cannot imagine how long it would take for someone to contact me back if I needed maintenance living here.

Living at 4th and Plum for about 2 years. The staff/management is friendly. Management setups an event every 2-4 months for guests to enjoy, which is fun and exciting.
Amenities: 3/5
The intercom/buzz machine downstairs does not work.
Laundry Room: They recently installed new washing machines and dryers, but the maintenance of them isn't kept up (1/4th of the machines are not working).
Cardio Room: 3 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, 1 Stairmaster, and 1 row-machine. All machines work and the area is... well kept.
Strength Training Room: Only one machine not working but mostly well kept like the Cardio Room.
Pet Spa: Perfect for your dog. Pet snacks are provided as well as other little things for your dog (toys, perfume, etc.)
Pool: Reasonable but beware of underchlorinated water. Strict rules and unnecessary pool rules. Only "available" during "office hours".
Clubroom: Never used. TV cannot be turned on and there is no cable access.
Rooftop Deck: Beautiful newly renovated area with a gorgeous fireplace, 2 grills, cornhole, giant connect 4 games, & a doggie park. The doggie park has been under renovation for months so residents let their dogs poop anywhere on the property.
The garage is dilapidated, expensive, and not maintained at all. The doors are very slow & don't work 20% of the time, the floor in the garage is cracked with lots of potholes. I've had random fluids and junk fall on my car in the garage from the ceiling.
During the pandemic, they initiated roof repair which caused immense noise from 9 am - 5 pm for months during which everyone was working from home. Fortunately, I was able to stay with others to maintain my peace and sanity while construction was completed.
Apartments: There are newly renovated apartments that sold as 'Luxury' apartments and some that are not renovated. Overall, the apartments are given clean and safe except for the fact that the bathrooms DO NOT have extraction fans. Please check high and low for mold growth in the bathroom.
I've never seen any pests (roaches, mice, rats, flies) inside the building. The roof has leaking issues still.
There is a pervasive issue of fire alarms being set off at night time.

I have lived at 4th and plum for 3 years now. You can't beat the price for living downtown! The staff is all so friendly and know myself and my dog by name. The amenities are a great perk too. :)
