Incredible Apartment on the 8th Floor

This was my first big girl apartment and I LOVED my little, cozy space here. I was lucky enough to have a corner unit on the 8th floor - one balcony overlooking the beautiful downtown Cuyahoga Falls and the other overlooking trees and residential area. The apartments were recently redone with beautiful granite countertops and wonderful appliances. Another great perk was the trash shoot on every floor, no need to drag your trash to the basement or anything. They also have a spacious outdoor... parking lot and also underground parking. A huge bonus is the cement walls - I never heard a peep from my neighbors the whole year I was there. The building itself is pretty quiet, no kids (probably due to the fact there's only one and two bedrooms) and most times I would walk into the elevator and to my apartment without running into anyone. The population here is a lot of young professionals in their 20's and 30's, as well as some older folks who had been there for awhile. Like I said, it is quiet but the community was so nice, everyone is friendly! And it is in a very safe area, I was nervous to live on my own as a young woman but never once did I feel unsafe here. Flory had also mentioned at one point that they have never had anything stolen, people have lost wallets/purses and yet everything was returned. The only downsides are that there are no in-unit laundry and no pets - two of the reasons that caused me to move out. However, they are currently in the works of redoing the community laundry in the basement and I am sure that will be wonderful once it is finished! Another huge perk here is the staff! Dan from maintenance is extremely kind and able to quickly help you with whatever you need. Flory, the manager, is a total gem. She truly pours her heart and soul into this place and does whatever she can to make all the residents 100% happy. She is always at her desk working on the first floor and whenever I run into her, her face lights up and makes a point to have a meaningful, personal conversation. She remembers every little detail about everyone and simply put - one of the most genuine and kind people I know. These apartments and the building itself are amazing, I would recommend this place to anyone!

Amazing Place to live

I've lived at portage trail east for 3 years and its a fantastic place to live. The building offers amazing views of the sunset, city of Cuyahoga Falls, and the surrounding areas. The property manager Flory bends over backwards for her tenants. They updated the pool, and take extremely good care of the building. They have friendly maintenance people, and great tenants. The building is only a 5 minute walk from the updated downtown Cuyahoga Falls where there's a river walk, park, and great... scenic views. They have a weight room, aerobics room, and a community room so you can meet your neighbors. It's a great community to live inside and outside the building. There's great access to route 8, and lots of shopping options within minutes. Cuyahoga Valley National park is right down the road and you can always find something to do on the Cuyahoga River. 10/10 would recommend living here. This is the BEST place to live in the area hands down.

fatastic place!

I have been a resident for 1 years and I absolutely love it. All apartments shown to me were completely renewed. Of note, the appliances that are of high quality and easy maintenance, as well as the beautiful marble finish in the kitchen and the bathroom. The entire building feels 'solid' and is incredibly well insulated.

Coming from the city, the view is absolutely breathtaking and incredibly soothing (trees for days!). I cannot express how relaxing the view is for me. And yet, Cuyahoga falls...
downtown is only about 10 minutes away and has everything I need in terms of shopping, restaurants, and recreational services.

I have not had any issue with my apartment since it was completely remodeled but I have to speak to the quality of the staff. The building manager is a wonderful woman that works tirelessly to improve the complex and helps residents in any possible way. I have seen her bend over backwards so many times. Even when I was being difficult about the garage spot given to me (I have bad legs), she did everything in her power to satisfy my request. The maintenance folks are incredibly friendly (without actually forcing it, I don't know how to explain, it's just the right amount of friendliness) and always helpful.

Neighbors, I have no idea, and that is because of two reasons: I don't want to meet them and I rarely see and never hear them (these walls are amazing!). To me they are the best kind of neighbor. There are, however, plenty of activities for the more outgoing and social folks. Whether you want to meet your neighbors or isolate yourself, this place will satisfy!

All in all I would recommend this place to anyone looking for peace and convenience. I haven't been able to call an apartment 'home' for a very long time. And that is both thanks to the wonderful staff and the incredible peace of mind this complex gives you.

One last thing worth mentioning. This place feels (and is) incredibly safe.

Extremely Loud

If you're looking for peace and quiet I wouldn't recommend any one move here. The concrete building design carries noise all through out the building. Maintenance will start banging hammers and using power tools early in the morning that will carry all over the building. The building is right next to train tracks so you will always hear train horns. The building is also next to a major road way so you can't enjoy leaving your windows open because of all the noise from the road. The building... has its original windows and doors that will drive your heating and cooling costs up! Be very cautious of this place.

Don't rend with them

Trust me, don't rent with them. The management team always, always blame everything on you. Their online payment system had problem, they blame you for not paying on-time (I tried to find the manager, many times, and called her many times, left several messages; but she decided somehow not to respond). She rented a room previously promised to you to someone else, without any notice; no apology. No responses to all your requests; no apology or explanation. Not even one promise kept; no apology.... Its management doesn't care about you; the only thing it cares is the money in your pocket. They refurnish rooms frequently (although they tend not to fix the noisy 1970's air conditioner), redecorate the kitchen with really poor asthetics, and charge you thousands of dollars more per year.
