WOW!

What can I say about Ashlar Flats? Wow! You want to move here! First of all, security. You walk inside the unit before coming to your front door. Packages are not left outside for all the world to see, but inside the unit, again, waiting by your front door or by the indoor mailbox. That’s right your mailbox is right there. You do not have to walk across the parking lot to get your mail.
I was delighted to find out that there is a washer and dryer in every unit! And that most of the apartments...
are remodeled with stainless steel appliances, great window, blinds, and a wood-burning fireplace!
The balconies and patio areas are nice size. Could probably fit two pieces of large patio furniture or five pieces of small patio furniture.
They just put in a new dog park, and they accept large dogs and I mean large!
The swimming pool has been recently renovated, and the parking lot just got sealed. They also have carports for rent.
Maintenance and staff do not try to hide from you when you have a problem. On the contrary, they are very polite and friendly and want to get your issue resolved as soon as possible.
Top it all off with a reasonable price in today’s apartment market, which I feel is on the lower end for all of these amenities!

I have lived here for 7 years and it's a great place. Now that Ashlar Flats is managing it I will say that it is definetly an awesome complex. They always are here when we need something maintenance questions etc.. their always on top of things such as snow removal things that need fixed . They gave done so many new things since they took over. It is a great place to live and love the staff. Thank you Ashlar Flats!!

Ownership changed - everything more expensive, and worse.

Been living here for 2+ years. Olde Mill Lakes was bought fall of 2022. It's now "ashlar flats."
The ashlar flats website is a fun list of lies about features that don't exist. The apartments are very basic, old, my ceiling has a brown wet spot that was reported, visited by maint. yet never fixed. The dumpsters overflow often, there are piles of trash around them. And yet, it was all "sorta ok" because even with its flaws, olde mill lakes was somewhat affordable (as much as anything is these...
days). So this complex was a pretty nice jem in the area. It is not anymore. They are raising rents, fees, and the office staff - while not being able to get a service request for 2 outdoor light bulbs replaced in 5 weeks - is constantly leaving littles notes on the doors with "Good news!" of what they will now be taking away, or charging you more for. know what you're getting into - an outdated property with a new owner who's absolutely raising every cost, ruining families homes, making seniors move out, and congratulating themselves on having a new sign out front. Know what you're in for - a let down.

5 year resident please listen

I've been staying at Olde Mill since 2016 and I'm going to explicitly lay out all of the problems I've encountered over the years.

1. GOOSE POOP. If you don't like stepping in poop every time you walk to your car to go to work, don't stay here. Every year the lakes attract flocks of geese and they crap over every sidewalk. They let it pile up for weeks or months until enough people complain or it starts to deter new tenets.

2. HIDDEN FEES. They will not tell you directly about a $11 hidden...
renters insurance fee that is automatically added to your monthly agreement. They say you can opt out of it if you provide the necessary documents, which I have, but it's been months and they still refuse to remove it.

3. HIGH UTILITY BILLS. The big brains who built these units put the thermostat right next to the door instead of near the center/living room which means my unit tries to unnecessarily heat or cool against the outside elements and is causing me an extra $100-200 on my utilities each month.

Also no ceiling fans and my car has been broken into 5-6 times and egged once.

This place has some upsides but they are no where near the stress, look elsewhere.

HORRIBLE MANAGMENT-NOT WORTH THE PRICE

Terrible Management! Maintenance staff are rude and unresponsive. Not worth the price that you will have to pay. Stay away-Much better options in the area.
