DO. NOT. MOVE. HERE. Please do not waste your time with this awful untruthful place. This place is a major rip off. Rent is overpriced. They lie about the average monthly utility bills, its more than they say. While living here the only thing that I could hear was my neighbors walking and talking, ALL night long EVERY single day. You can hear EVERY single footstep and conversation that your neighbors have - you can also smell whatever they are doing/cooking. Every step my upstairs neighbor made... sounded like he was coming through the ceiling no matter how quiet they walked. My dogs are labs, they were looked at like monsters when I taking them outside to the bathroom because neighbors were afraid of them due to them being large dogs but extremely friendly! No dog park was ever put in like they said when I moved in. Not to mention, you have to pay a very large fee of 750$ to even get the dogs in for a deposit that is NON-refundable, then you have a pay and actual deposit for the apartment, then you have to pay 25$ a month per animal for monthly rent. The staff does not work with you to make you happy, either you "find someone to sublease your apartment, or you pay 3,000$ to break your lease agreement." Absolutely unprofessional when dealing with unhappy customers. They do not care about their business because the next college kid will come in and pay whatever they want. I was so miserable here with not being able to sleep because of the walking above me and not be able to sleep because of the extremely thin walls, that I had to leave early. I had MANY other neighbors that complained about the same things and more.

Hi,
Me and my wife have been living in this apartment since the apartment complex was built. It has been 6 years and still, by far, this place is the best place to live in Kent, OH. Kent is a university town. Me and my wife are faculty members at Kent State University. For the past 6 years, I have been recommending Pebblebrook apartments to everyone who looks for an apartment in Kent.
Rooms are spacious and apartments are well maintained. Landscaping is great and the management is keeping the... place clean. They even have a pool that we enjoy every summer. Having a garage is a big plus since the weather in Ohio is always harsh and if you have a garage, you literally save 30 mins everyday since you do not have to clear the snow pile on your car. Speaking of winter condition, the management was and still doing a great job on clearing the roads and parking places.
Maintenance is great. They always send someone to fix your issues in the apartment right away. Having said that, I never had any major issues in the apartment for the past 6 years.
If you are an active person, you can always play some volleyball on the sand-volley court or play some basketball at the basketball court. Even for a nice peaceful walk, the park inside the complex is simple yet enough to get some fresh air.
Most of the people have cars but if you are into public transportation, I can clearly say that the Part(bus system) buses stops right in front of your door! This is a big plus for the apartment complex.
Time to time, Pebblebrook apartments creates social events where the tenants can socialize. They offer free drinks and snacks on these gatherings. The people who works at the leasing office are always nice and friendly.
Obviously, its not all great in Pebblebrook. There is one thing I requested but still did not have a chance to get an approval. Me and my wife love recycling and the management does not have recycling trash-bins or garbage cans. We have to drive to school to take out our recycling trash.
Overall, it is the greatest place to live in Kent OH.
