TERRIBLE, Save yourself the trouble

supposedly had gotten a "renovated" unit, the paint was terrible the cabinets weren't constructed properly so you couldn't even open one because the handle of the other got in the way, it was a sad joke honestly. touching the walls in the kitchen left a layer of slime on your hand. The upstairs neighbors overflowed their toilet, for what must have been hours, and soaked the rug in my apartment and they sent out a carpet cleaner who insisted I find someplace to store my animal otherwise they... might run away and they made no effort to work with me and never cleaned up the toilet water.... a truly disgusting incident that wasn't handled properly

Avoid this place

I’ve lived here for 3 days, and I have never regretted something more in my life. Before I even signed the lease, I told management I need to move in on a specific date as I was finishing school and moving to the area for a new job. Low and behold the week of my move comes and I’m being hounded a few days before the date I said I was available to complete my paperwork. It turns out they had changed the date to a date that was more convenient for them. The day I moved in, my apartment was in... less than pristine condition. The weather striping around the doors were loose, one my windows didn’t latch securely, none of the screens in my windows fit properly, etc. The list goes on and on. It was obvious the apartment had not been deep cleaned or repainted prior to my move in.

In addition to the state of my apartment, management is disorganized. I was not told about the parking situation prior to moving in, and had my car towed 48hrs after moving in. When I was getting my keys, the girl made me stand outside in the cold and rain, while she tried to set up my automatic key. I finally hand to go to the website and so it myself. Later when I went to turn in my apartment walkthrough paper, I found out they forgot to give me the keys to my storage room and mail key. One of which didn’t work, now I have to go back to the office again and get the proper one.

My entire experience has been phenomenally bad. I’ve lived here less than 72hrs and I’m already looking for a new apartment. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Emerald Place Apartments

This is a nice clean complex in a beautiful suburb. The floor plans are open and spacious, but the longer I've lived here the more little things I've noticed. I.e, sloppy edges on the paint jobs, a few of the electrical outlets don't work, and the bathroom sink has begun to leak. Maintenance typically comes by in a timely matter and there haven't been any pressing issues that affect my day to day life so overall it's a pretty nice place to live. There is close access to the MAX lines and lots... of shopping only a mile down the road. Personally, I'm walking distance to work which is a huge plus.
