Meh

I've changed my 5 star review to a 2 star because of the childish non-communication of the office staff upon moving out. I was told the carpet in the apartment needed replaced, even though my family and I worked hours to clean everything and steam cleaned the carpet multiple times. The carpet was not replaced before I moved in. I offered to send pictures of what it looked like when I moved in (and the other long list of issues with the apartment noted on the lease) but the office didn't respond... to any of my e-mails. They kept my $425 deposit and sent a letter saying I needed to pay an additional $120. I wrote back with the reasons why I am disputing their claim but instead of responding they turned it over to a collection agency, hurting my credit in the process. So ridiculous. There were also times that I put in a maintenance request and got ignored until I asked multiple times. Pretty immature way to run a management business that is based on customer service. I enjoyed living at the apartment for the most part which is why I originally left a 5 star review, but this petty move by the office left a sour taste in my mouth.

Pretty good place to live

I've lived at Forest Ridge for a few years now and it's definitely better than previous apartments I've lived in. The apartments are large and have lots of room for storage. The grounds are well maintained and there is a variety of unique animals along the forest edge including deer and peacocks. Neighbors have been friendly for the most part. Jenkins Estate is very close and is an excellent place to hike, lots of trails and historic sites. I see people making a fuss about parking but the rules... are very clear and all you need to do is get a pass from the office for extra vehicles that is valid for weeks or months. I've never seen any cars get towed and there is plenty of extra parking spots on the nearby streets. Overall I've enjoyed my stay here and plan to keep renewing my lease.

No good

We have a family with 7 young kids above us. Plus a big huge dog that has pee, puke, diarrhea, or water bowl spilled on there deck up above, which comes down on us. Yuck.. We can't be on our deck. The management hasn't done anything. I've lived in this unit for 4 yrs and another unit for 2 year's. We have never had to deal with this many problems. After 1 1/2 years of living under these people, We are trying to move out. Stay away. Who ever allowed a family of 9 plus a big dog on a upper unit... shouldn't be running a complex. So much for lease agreements, and rules.

Stay Away

Awful experience with this apartment complex, bad vibes everywhere here. Don't let the beautiful property deceive you as it did for me. From the parking policies and the way they handle trash to the disrespectful neighbors it is ALL bad!
