Brand New Place, but That Comes With Its Own Issues
It's been good living here, but it has also taught me to stay away from brand new, recently opened complexes in the future.
The pro is that it is very close to public transit and convenient to travel to and from. If you are willing to overlook its cons, then this place will be good for you too.
Cons:
- UPS cannot deliver here. Not sure why, maybe because the address is so new. I learned my lesson when UPS couldn't deliver a package and I had to spend $100 to Uber to Portland and back to pick... it up from a UPS center. Multiple times, there were notices from UPS, for other inhabitants, posted on the lobby door saying "Sorry we missed you". I wish I was notified of this issue beforehand so I could prepare.
- Certain stores/websites cannot ship to you because the address is so new that they do not recognize it as a legitimate address. Occasionally, Amazon and food deliverers get confused on where your unit is. Again, I was not notified beforehand.
- My toilet has clogged 10+ times in the past half year. Apparently this is a common issue for others, so it's not an isolated toilet problem.
- They advertise themselves as quote 'pet-friendly', which seems like false advertising. They should instead be 'dog and cat friendly'.
Again, it would be a great fit if you can overlook these headaches.
