This location is a dream
I've lived at Montgomery Plaza for three months. The location cannot be beat! I don't have a car and we are so close to the Ardmore Farmers Market, Trader Joe's and Suburban Square that I am able to do everything by either walking or riding my bike. It is easy to get into the city or to travel to NYC, DC, Boston or Lancaster via the Amtrak/SEPTA station that is a short walk away. There are several buses that stop right on our corner, too.
As someone who works from home, it was important to me... that there's a sense of separation between work and life. The two bedroom layout of my apartment made for a fantastic office set up.
I am an avid cook and my renovated kitchen has plenty of room for food prep and dinner parties. The appliances work well and the cabinets are deep.
The management is responsive and has accommodated all needs. You can usually get someone on the phone (if not, they'll call you back within a day) and there is almost always someone in the office if you need something addressed right away.
I have to give a special shoutout to Alexis, who has been a shining light throughout my transition here. Moving always comes with complications, but Alexis is quick to help with anything. Her kindness and frequent communication helped bring ease and excitement into an otherwise daunting experience. She had an answer to every one of my questions – and there were many, lol. I can't thank her enough!
The building is clean and secure. My only critiques are that I'd like to see better package management (as online shopping is a permanent way of life now) and I do wish there was bike storage; however, the balconies are so large that it is not a problem! I get beautiful sunlight throughout the day that also makes my balcony a great place for gardening. I feel truly blessed every time I step out there.
Overall, I would highly recommend living in Montgomery Plaza to anyone who can afford it. Though the cost of living is high, the experience is worth it. My neighbors have become friends and my new neighborhood already feels like home. I feel safe and at peace in this little slice of suburban paradise and that's something I'll never take for granted.
