Great construction, room/closet size, convenient to transport, parks & schools
I'm now 'late middle aged', living here since May. Became disabled with a rare autoimmune condition, that turned out had best researchers at Jefferson Univ. Hospital in Philly, an hour away by train.
When I got sick, I left my job on disability with NYS Housing (worked prior with NYC Real Property) where over 27 years I'd helped build or rehab over 25,000 units. I can attest these units are well designed, great fixtures, safe and well maintained.
My brother's family moved to Chalfont almost 20... years ago, and I first rented another unit down by a park and stream a bit farther from them. This by comparison is closer in 'downtown', supposedly.
Now, I can walk 2 minutes to the Chalfont SEPTA station to see doctors in Philly, or 5 to Manhattan Bagels, a pizza place, breakfast/lunch joint, haircuts, etc. 10 minutes to several local parks, ballfields, streams, all well maintained by the town. Fire/ambulance is just a few blocks down our street.
I know my nephew received an excellent education through the local school system here, going on to now to working on his Engineering degree.
When my bi-annual infusions begin to wear off, I become more housebound, and since I'm not now driving,I live by Grubhub, Ubereats. Instacart and FreshDirect grocery delivery services. (If you drive, Giant, etc. is a few minutes away)
The building is a nice mix of young singles, families and some older folks.
Most units are laid out for handicapped access.
