Good place

I have lived in one apartment for 3 years and that was great. the leasing office staff at the time did a walk through with me and explained how things worked and how to do a maintenance request. Then I moved into another apartment in same building and that didn't go as well, it took them a week to turn my hot water on and my kitchen cabinets were painted instead of replaced. Overall they do fun events for all residents, the pool is nice, workout room is good. They continue to maintain the... surroundings area and parking lot free and clear of bears and clutter.

Great Place to Live

From the very start of the process to move in date to currently now Tall Trees has been nothing but excellent! Peter was very accommodating and worked quickly with me on needing a place within a couple weeks. Was able to select the apartment that I’m currently in to fit what I need. John and Angel are excellent as well! Nice, quiet, and cozy. I moved in from out of state and am so grateful I found this place for me, my family and my pet. Would recommend Tall Trees to anyone that is looking for a... great place to live!

Worst apartment

One of the worst apartments we have ever lived in. Downstairs people are so annoying. They are making our stay so unpleasant. We have kids, and sometimes if kids just run (even when they walk) from one room to another, they start banging on the ceiling. They bang the ceiling strongly if something falls to the floor during cooking or cleaning time. It is so annoying and so unpleasant.

I reported to the lease office several times. But for some reason they are not doing anything.

Smoky Trees

I have 5 years of experience living on this property (in two different buildings).

My major complaint is smoke pollution. This property is NOT smoke-free. This means if you have any health condition that is worsened by smoke (allergies, heart or lung disease), you will only suffer if you decide to move here. I know it is difficult to find places to live in the Scranton area. Your work may be near this location. It may in some other way seem convenient to live here. Maybe you might like the idea...
of living near a lake. But the reality is, if you choose an apartment building that has just ONE smoker, you will be affected. Currently I live above a stinky man (literally) who has smoked cigars nightly for 17 years. Complaining has yielded no results. Not one of the buildings on the property can be reserved for smokers. Consider the additional costs you will need to pay for air purifiers, filters, deodorizers, and the increased electricity costs of running fans and purifiers day and night.

Noise pollution is the second problem. Yes, like most apartments noise can be a problem. For me, it is not noise shared by means of adjoining walls, but the noise that ascends from the floor. The floors are carpeted, but do not shield you from hearing loud talkers. Coughs, laughter, music and snoring can be heard. I hear my downstairs neighbor’s conversations with such clarity that I could transcribe them. In addition, during warm weather, neighborhood boys and girls riding ATV's through the nearby woods can be heard. They often blast their music as they ride in 4-5 vehicle caravans, most often throughout the property after 5 pm, when office management leaves.

A positive is the maintenance team. They are friendly, skillful and professional, responding quickly to all service requests. I have appreciated their willingness to make my apartment as comfortable as possible.

Sunlight is also very limited. This can be a problem especially for people who are already affected by Scranton’s “darkness.” My apartment faces the woods and throughout the day, most of the apartment is dark.

Electricity runs averages $200 each month (for a 2-bedroom apartment) from November to April.

My frustration has grown living here. Until I can move, my only solace is in knowing that I can help other people avoid the same problems I have experienced.

Until Tall Trees becomes smoke free and renovated, I recommend looking for another place to live.

I am sorry to hear that despite our efforts to address your concerns and offering you several options that you remain unhappy here at Tall Trees. We strive to provide our residents with clean, comfortable and maintenance free homes and many of our... apartments have been newly renovated. Tall Trees is located in a scenic, wooded location and some apartments naturally receive more sunlight than others. In my opinion, over the past year all of NEPA has experienced far too many days without sunshine. Please keep in mind, we have also recently replaced windows and patio doors with insulated energy efficient ones. If you wish to discuss your situation further, please contact me at the Leasing Office.
Thank you and all the best to you!

The maintenance team never does their job.

The maintenance never does their job.
Maintenance lead JAKE is VERY RUDE and immediately give you attitude when you voice a complaint or a concern
week end emergency maintenance is a a BIG JOKE and Maintenance team is always on high at week end .
Corridor fire alarms are outdated and are triggered frequently , to switch them off Scranton police arrives faster than onsite maintenance personnel .

My fridge leaks and air conditioner cannot heat or cool you can't control the heat it freeze all...
winter even though my electric bill averages $250-290/month.
Multiple complaints have been made,Maintenance person JAKE says it is working as per his expectation and usually ignores/ closes maintenance request.

Poor Maintainence , stay off!
