Great place to live

First off, the leasing office is so helpful and personable. The security, housekeeping, and maintenance workers are so helpful and sweet. They make you feel at home. I was a single girl and always felt safe. It's very quiet and can't hear anyone. You feel like you live in a community with fun activities planned.

Best place I've lived!

I have lived in three different apartments at Metro 67-- two with roommates and one alone-- and I am so thankful to have had the chance to live in such a great community. Management does a great job of hosting little community events to help you meet your neighbors, and the rooftop during the warm months is the absolute best. The other amenities are great as well. My top two favorite features are the secured doors and elevators as well as the quietness of the building. I have always had... neighbors above me but rarely even know that other people exist in the building. It is by far the most quiet place I've ever lived. I really appreciate all that the staff does to keep Metro 67 clean and well maintained. If there is ever a cleaning or maintenance issue, they are super quick to respond. It's hard to expect perfection with apartment living, but Metro 67 does a great job at doing their best to make this the perfect place to live!

Living in Modern History

I LOVE living here! I was pretty nervous moving alone downtown in Memphis but I feel so secure now. Every floor requires a keycard and there’s a tunnel to connect to parking across the street. Love the communication from the office and maintenance team when theres an issue and even when I just want to say hi. Everyone is super friendly. They even have breakfast in the lobby sometimes. It’s been a great adjustment and I love talking to my neighbors while we drink a glass of wine at the end of the... day watching the sunset from the rooftop. Sooo dreamy! Overall great experience so far. Happy to stay as long as it’s this good.

Best apartment building we have ever lived in!

Best apartment building and staff we have ever lived in! The entire staff goes above and beyond to help out their tenants, and treat everyone like family. The apartments themselves are beautiful, with great finishings. The floors look great, and the kitchen is spacious with a modern feel. Any maintenance issue (which is rare) is resolved within 24 hours every time. Special shout out to the the management staff: Morgan, Emily, and Cage; security team: Charles and Sam; cleaning crew: Tiesha;... and maintenance staff: Sam. Overall, an outstanding team and building, and would highly recommend to anyone looking to live in downtown Memphis!

Look past the shiny stuff

At first glance Metro 67 is a great looking property. A very large and nice marble lobby greets you, the elevators are clean and bright, your apartment has wood floors and granite counter tops. The property does a good job with the big things people notice like the floors and counter tops. The dishwasher and 2-in-1 washer/dryer in the unit are 2 big pluses. Security if excellent, a security card is needed to get into the building and also you your floor. The underground tunnel to the parking... garage is especially helpful when the weather is lousy.

Try to look past the initial "shiny" items when considering this property.

My biggest gripes:
Windows:
You cannot open your windows if they are facing the street, you can get an interior unit that faces a very small courtyard with nothing but rocks or you can go with the alley view. On a side note, the alley can become very loud around midnight when the neighboring hotel starts throwing out their restaurant and bar trash,(BTW, there are about 4 large dumpsters in that alley, things tend to spoil rather quickly in Memphis summers). You can experience the outside or view the outside, not both.

Water:
I find it a little too dirty. Once a month I need to clean the dirt and goup that forms on the head of each faucet. I am not from Memphis originally so that just may be how water here is but for me it's very off-putting when I see something black dangling from my faucet when I'm brushing my teeth. I filter any tap water I use.

Technology:
There is a $30/mo fee for SD cable TV, there is no way to opt out nor can you upgrade the service. You can get a satellite package but you are still forced to pay that $30 fee. The service is downright awful, channels are constantly disappearing and are formatted incorrectly so that the edges are cut off.

Internet:
DSL through AT&T is the only option. The fastest available speed is 18Mbps at $45/mo before fees. Consider that the cable ISP in the same area costs $30/mo for 25Mbps. I don't know if Metro or the ISPs are to blame for this problem, but considering other buildings on the same block have access to cable internet I'm going look at the Metro first. Given that the majority of tenants are young professionals, I would think a good technology infrastructure would be a priority.

In a nutshell I would say the property uses a Versace box for Walmart item.

Pros:
Good "big" stuff
Attached parking garage
Security

Cons:
Water
Windows
Tech
