Great place to live!

Quiet, cozy community. Everyone is so friendly and the manager,Luz, is very helpful. If I ever have an issue her team knows exactly how to help.I’ve been here for 6 years and it’s been great!

Do Not Move Here

When moving in, you could tell my apartment had not been cleaned. We had a significant roach issue, and when we spoke to the property manager about it, she said that she had initially seen a few before we moved in but didn’t think there would be a problem. I ended up staying in a hotel for a week before I actually moved into my apartment and had to personally buy things to treat the roach problem. The leasing office would not compensate for anything. After a week of complaining, they finally had... a pest control guy come and spray the apartment. When we moved in, the paint on our walls was chipped, the floor was lifting, and our washing machine/drier (a 2-in-1) barely worked. they still have yet to do anything about it.

Not Safe at All

I have lived here for about 4 months now and I have never felt safe in my apartment. I am a 22-year-old female. My packages outside my door have been stolen by my neighbors, one of my neighbors HIT MY CAR and the police and insurance somehow still haven't been able to get his information, and now my neighbors have been stealing my wifi and causing me to pay overage fees. I have spent so much extra money here just because the people who live here have caused me to do so. The staff here are great... and I have had no issues with them, but if you are at all worried about your safety and want to sleep at night, do not live here.

Avoid at all costs!

Absolute trash management. I paid my rent on time, minded my own business, never complained about anything and had no issues with anybody. I understood where I was living when I moved in and figured it was worth saving the money. Loud music blaring all hours of the day and night, domestic disturbances in the hall, completely trashed common areas, and extremely loud washer-dryer all-in-ones that shake the whole building. That's what you'll find here on top of leaky roofs, uneven floors, molded... out drywall, and huge moisture issues. The absent management is a plus, because you'll never have to worry about being fined for keeping trash on your balcony. Finally my lease ended and move out day came. After setting an appointment for an inspection, I vigorously cleaned the empty apartment to avoid any fees. When the appointment time came, I couldn't reach anyone in the office. Finally being fed up, I walked over and found they had all decided to take lunch. Patiently waiting for them to get back, I went back over the apartment to make sure I didn't miss anything. The staff returned from lunch later than the posted time and after I explained I was ready to get the process over with, very kindly, I was told they were on their way. Fast forward an hour: NOBODY SHOWED UP! NOT EVEN A COURTESY CALL! So I walk my not so happy behind back over to the office and the staff were literally sitting there doing NOTHING. I explain the situation again as calmly as possible and all I start hearing is excuse after excuse about how they had "some things" pop up. I let them know I have a recorded phone call where the appointment was set for 1pm and a picture of their sign that said they'd be back from lunch at 1:30pm. The time was now 3:15pm. Frustrated that I was not only deprived of the right as a tennant to be present for the final inspection, I handed the staff member my keys and informed her that I had taken pictures and videos to ensure there will be evidence in my favor if I am charged any erroneous fees. Word of advice pay the extra $100 a month and choose somewhere else. It'll save you so much stress.

Worst 2 years

I lived at Sona for 2 years and honestly it was a horrible experience. First of all in two years I think that the property changed companies 3-4 different times, and we had at LEAST 4 different property managers during my time there. I understand that is not the current people's fault, however they would not take responsibility for the crappy things the prior management company did but still held us to our non-refundable deposit that the previous company didn't explain to us.

The following...
things were wrong:
-No hot water in the kitchen sink for the first 3 months we were there
-Master bathroom didn't have a working toilet the first 3 months
-Master bathroom had ONLY hot water in the sink for the first 3 months
-Our laundry (a 2 in 1 washer and dryer) never worked properly and I had to hang my clothes to dry - they never fixed it and never even offered to get us a new machine
-Our dishwasher leaked so badly for MONTHS that we had pooling water in our kitchen, and it was leaking even when the machine was off
-Never came and fixed the things we listed on our initial walk through and very possibly charged us for it when we moved
-Our neighbors were SO LOUD there was screaming from their kids at all hours
-The management overall was rude and unhelpful
-Our air conditioning never worked properly which they claimed was not fixable because it was just an old system, but that made our electric INSANE during the summer (2 bedroom with 3 people and we all paid at least 35-40 dollars a month bringing our total to well over $150 per month all summer)
-The stairs leading up to my apartment were literally crumbling for the first year I lived there, and then when they did fix them they were uneven and cause my roommates dog to fall

The prices here are NOT WORTH IT. Live anywhere else.
